But the pair I bought was supposed to be a rust color. In other words more reddish than brown. But they arrived looking like a basic brown with just a hint of red. Not at all like the picture. But my friend was satisfied with them. I bought them for his birthday. But the quality and condition it arrived in was more than perfect. Wears this shoe: My Boyfriend wears them when he goes out on the town. 1 of 3 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: Steven Kent from Chicago, IL Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Nice looking and well-fitting shoe, but my feet still got wet. Water seeped in around the sole and soaked into it, leaving me wet and miserable. I wasn't fly-fishing in these things, I was walking around on shoveled city sidewalks. That's rather pathetic in my opinion. I resorted to wearing my Adidas Sambas in the snow because they kept my feet drier than these boots! I will say that although these boots stink at keeping water out, they're excellent at retaining it. Once they stayed damp overnight (10+ hours) to greet me with wet, cold feet in the morning. Wears this shoe: Never. Reviewer: Paul Avery from Battle Creek, Michigan, United States Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width I am a professional charter bus driver and while I really like my Timberland Waterproof Black polished leather shoes for a crisp uniform look, there were times in the winter when snow or slush would come over the top and negate the water proof soul and leather exterior of the shoe. These boots answer to that perfectly and I have worn them on 3 charters now with no negative comments and they keep my feet dry even in a snow storm. We have to be out in all kinds of weather and wet conditions, so dry feet are happy feet! We must stay healthy to get our passengers safely to their destinations. Color wrong. Reviewer: Anonymous from Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width The laces suck. Round laces in general usually suck as they untie easily, but these ones, round, especially sucked. Not only did they tend to untie but they, being really thin and round, would cut into my ankle through the rather thin leather tongue. Otherwise, i.e. after changing the laces, they are AMAZING BOOTS. Wears this shoe: All the time Reviewer: Raj from Woonsocket, Rhode Island Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Helps me to do all the work around the house in winter in all this snow. Now I can work in weekends without fear of falling. Great shoe when others next to me walking on the black ice are slipping. I can walk at my usual pace without slowing down like a snail. But I am not very sure about one thing. This is supposed to be waterproof. But I feel my feet are slightly wet after walking on snow which is not more than 2 inches. Will check this more. Wears this shoe: when it is snowing and lots of ice / snow outside Reviewer: Anonymous from Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width My son loves his new boots Wears this shoe: on cold, wet days Reviewer: Keith McElwee from Northern New Jersey Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I like most all aspects of the boot but I might have preferred a boot with loops instead of eyeholes at the top 3 or 4 eyeholes. Makes it easier to tie up,espically if your a bit overweight. I also would like a strong pull up loop above the heel. There is nothing to help you grab on the top. Wears this shoe: In bad weather and when in rough terrian. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: K. Cowan from Palmdale, CA Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width The boot itself was exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would do differently is try to verify the color, by physically trying to find the boot first in a store. Pricing was great! Wears this shoe: 1 or 2 times a week Reviewer: NAU college student from Flagstaff AZ Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Bought this boot for my son in snowy Flagstaff AZ. He loves the boots comfort and waterproof qualities. Wears this shoe: Every day to class, around town, work and snow play. Reviewer: Dan from Clifton, NJ Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width It took a long time to find my college age son a boot that looked and felt good, but did not cut into his ankle or was too stiff to break in or be comfortable. The boots get no care or cleaning, and they hold up well. Wears this shoe: Lousy weather Viewing reviews 1 - 16 of 61 | Next >> Return to product detail page
