I'm a big girl with big wide feet and appreciate the extra width I get from these shoes. The good sizing helps me to walk with a normal gait and I don't feel clumbsey.

This is my second pair of 811's, I just ordered a black pair to wear during this fall and winter with my darker colored pants. I wear this shoe everywhere when I am dressed casually. I did order this shoe a half size smaller than I wear in most shoes, so I think they seem to run a tad larger than marked. I have high arches, and find this a very cozy and supportive shoe - no aching feet at the end of the day.

I like New Balance as they are one of the few shoe manufactures to consider that there are still people out here with narrow feet. Buying shoes has been traumatic at times, as most shoes start at medium. I appreciate and think highly of those company's still serving all the people!!! Thanks!!!The only thing I would change is a little more padding on the inside bottom of the shoe ...we with narrow feet also have skinny feet without a lot of fat padding the bottom of our feet. thanks.

This is my second pair of these shoes. Although I have worn New Balance for years, these have been the best I've found and recommended them to everyone I meet with foot problems. They keep your feet from turning out or in and give you a steady platform for walking.

I have a long slim foot that is hard to fit. I do find the fit is good and the shoe is comfortable for walking. Probably the most comfortable shoe I own right now. I would like a softer leather, but this shoe seems to wear alright. I may order another pair in a different color. I also appreciated the quickness in which the order was received.

The Shoes I Count On November 03, 2009

I've been buying these shoes for 4 or 5 years now, and except for summer when I wear sandals, I wear these almost all the time. My ankles and feet are much better than they were previous to getting these shoes. The 811 is certainly not high-style, but they have a plain respectable oxford look, so you can wear them almost anywhere, unlike running shoes. I do find that I start having foot problems again if I don't replace my 811's once they start to wear out. They give good wear, but they don't last forever.
Wears this shoe: Almost all the time except summer.
