Great youth running shoe

I bought this pair of shoes for my 6th grader son. He loves to run every chance he gets. He says the shoes are lightweight and breathe well so his feet don't get overheated. He also says the shoes give his feet good support and so they are comfortable. He has not had them for very long but so far they are holding up well.

Thank you for carrying extra wide width shoes for children. The New Balance 749 in the extra wide width is the only pair of shoes that I have found to properly fit my grandson. I have been to every retail shoe store within 100 miles of my home and was unable to find a single pair of shoes in his size in an extra wide width. He has been wearing the NB 749 for about a month and likes them so much that I have just ordered a second pair for him.

I bought these for my nine year old son, and he loves them. His right foot is wider than his left due to the fact he was born with club feet. This shoe comfortably fits both feet.

My almost 10 year old son has been wearing this style for 1.5 years. He finds it much more comfortable than his nike or adidas sneakers. It's very well cushioned.

I love New Balance sneakers so much that our whole family has switched to NB only! The quality, size, and width selection is better then most. My kids love them, as they feel like an extension of their feet.

My grandson has very wide feet, and it is difficult to find a nice selection in an extra wide. This sneaker is stylish and fits well. We would prefer Velcro instead of shoelaces, though!

My daughter is a quad e, so she needs extra wide shoes. New Balance offers her the room in the toe box she requires for basic comfort with the support she needs in an athletic shoe.

Wide sneakers to the rescue

My daughter has very wide feet, doesn't like girly girl styles and likes tying her shoes rather than usingn velcro. Getting all of this in one sneaker is very hard. We tried these and my daughter loves them. The extra wide is very roomy and the look isn't so boyish that a girl can't wear them. They are also light weight and bend easily due to all of the mesh. We ordered a size 2 and a 2 1/2. We went with the 2 1/2 because the 2 just fit her and I thought that she wouldn't get more than 2 months wear from the 2. The 2 1/2 is pretty big on her but this doesn't seem to bother her. I am glad we went with the larger size.

I think that this shoe is very attractive. Its most important feature is the fact it is available in Extra-Wide. My son has incredibly wide feet and found it very comfortable. This particular version has a shoe lace that is crimped at intervals which makes it stay tied easier. This is a plus for younger or very active kids.
