New Balance sneakers are the best. They fit well, look good, feel good, and perform well. I received my latest pair, MR 993, and in excellent condition. It takes a little while to break them in, so be patient.

I've owned the NB 991s for awhile and loves them so I thought I'd get the 993 upgrade treatment. I love them. They're just as comfortable as the 991s, just as good in terms of traction and stability, and have the added benefit for slightly more arch support. They feel good on my feet and look great too. I don't think I'll ever buy another line of shoe. It's NB 99Xs for me!

I replaced my first pair with another pair. Both have a lump inside the left heel area that is not noticeable until you walk a mile or so. This makes the shoe uncomfortable. Don't know if this is a bad lot and don't feel like going through the return hassle of explaining why they're worn. Otherwise its a beautiful shoe.

I have "duck" feet, a very narrow heel (AAA) with wider toes (A-AA). Almost all running or walking shoes are fairly wide (B) which means lots of motion of the shoe on my foot, especially on my heels; I really appreciated the AA sized New Balance shoes. Other reviews said it was wider than size which, if true, fit my toe needs perfectly. It was the best fit I have ever had in this type of shoe. The shoe is well constructed. I would buy this shoe again in a heartbeat.

Improvement over the 992

Replaced my NB 992's with the newer 993's and there is a noticeable difference. The 993's are lighter, and have better heel cushioning. Fit is about the same as the 992's although they are perhaps a little tighter through the instep. Shoebuy's service is great - I went up a 1/2 size on the first pair (per reviews) but found they were too big - exchanged for a 1/2 size smaller and fit is good. A note though - the first pair would have gone back anyway as I think NB's quality control was asleep when they shipped - the positioning of the leather overlays was considerably different on the right and left shoes and the toe cap had a crease which was stitched through (the 2nd's you see at their outlet stores looked better than these 1st quality shoes!). The second pair was perfect - up to the usually high standards I expect from NB for a $100+ running shoe. Lastly, I appreciate the Made is USA pedigree of these shoes but the USA badging w. the stars & stripes background on some of the reflective material is getting a bit over the top - so much so that I left them home on a recent international trip - sometimes keeping a lower profile is better!

This is my first pair of nice running shoes, so I do not have anything else to compare them to- I previously wore cross training shoes for several years, but now that I am running further and more often (1-2 5K's per week and 1 longer run of ~8.5 miles), I felt I should get a good, quality pair of shoes to run in.I am very impressed with the comfort and support of the 993's, and I have not had any issues after the first several weeks of wearing them.

New Balance just keeps making this shoe better and better. This was my first experience with the M993 after loving the M992 and M991. If you are looking for the most comfortable shoe to buy on the market...look no where else. I wear this shoe all the time and when I see someone wearing the same shoe we usually have a quick chat about how awesome it is.
