The shoe laces are bright white, which really stand out against the grey. Grey shoe laces would have made a huge difference. But, being New Balance, they are comfortable.
Wears this shoe: Casual dress situation. I don't workout in this shoe.

First found a pair of M498's two plus years ago and like them so much I have worn out two pairs. I saw your company and when I checked you had them and I ordered two pairs. That's how much I like the way they fit and the comfort.
Wears this shoe: They look nice enough to wear with shorts for dress, play, boating, etc.

What can I say about New Balance. My whole family enjoys them. Three out of six of us are in healthcare and five out of six of us wear them. Probably 6-6 would but one is in the navy. These are the only shoes that give the support and stability for the hours that we are on our feet. Our backs have felt better and our feet have been less tired and sore since buying New Balance. We each wear a different number that covers our individual needs. We have been a New Balance family for 4 years now and will never buy another shoe again. Also, buying at Shoebuy.com has saved us $20 to 40 dollars per pair.

I bought this shoe for my husband. Strictly for good wear and comfort. It is not my favorite style of NB shoes and looks somewhat plastic and not leather. However, with that said it does wear well and well made. I just do not like the overall look,but My husband says it is fine.

The shoes fit fine, are very comfortable, and look good. I use them for everyday shoes. They are excellent for walking, which happens a lot in The City, and for the gym as well. They didn't come with laces four feet too long, either. They feel much 'springier' than the last pair I was wearing (a different style of New Balance.) I'd recommend them.

The New Balance M498 fits me well because of the available narrow width sizing. It provides good support for a reasonable number of miles for the daily exercise walking that I do. In my experience, this shoe is an excellent value.

I've had a hard time finding a shoe I could wear everyday that was narrow enough. X-training shoes are too wide, even in B-widths. This shoe is narrow, fits great and is a good value.

Definitely felt more narrow than marked, almost to the point of being a width down. Otherwise, it's a fine show for the value. The image doesn't show it well on there, but the gray and black leather is actually quite shiny, which I don't really care for, but hey, the price is right and they work just fine otherwise.

I like New Balance sneakers the best because no matter which style I purchase, they fit right and are always comfortable and stylish. When you have a wide foot like mine, it's nice to know you can always count on New Balance for wide weight sneakers that keep a teenager like me happy. My mom buys them for me and always has a half size larger in storage for when I tell her, "Mom my foot grew; they're getting tight." No need to wait for a delivery; my mom plans ahead, and I have new sneakers for school on the day I need them! You know us teenagers, we never plan ahead--thanks mom! Thanks Shoebuy.com for making shoe shopping so easy!

This is he fit I've been looking for forever! It's light-weight yet supportive and ideal for indoor gym work or for outdoor jogging. When exercise is over they're comfortable enough to leave on through dinner and TV-watching (I could probably sleep in them!)..

Color, comfort and fit were exactly what I was looking for. I bought a pair of casual shoes at ths same time. The width of the casuals were way too wide compared to the fit of the athletic shoe. I am very happy with this product, especially since they are carried in a narrow width for my size.
Wears this shoe: Pretty much all the time I am not at work. Shopping, to the movies, etc.
