These are great shoes! I had just about given up on finding good hiking shoes and found these - hooray! I love the lift off in the toes, as they feels comfy and light as air. I don't think there will even be a break in period for them. They are definitely keepers.

I walk a minimum of 4 miles a day with one of my dogs and often add another 5-10 miles hiking the trails and beaches of Cape Cod. Sometimes I feel the remnants of an old injury in one of my ankles and noticed the mid-height boots I wear in winter give just enough additional support to make walking more comfortable. I wanted a lighter-weight version and had purchased a pair of Merrell sneakers last year that I love. If I was planning to wear heavier socks, I might want a half size larger.

I bought these boots for day hikes with the family. We do some moderate terrain and I love these boots. They are very comfortable and I didn't feel like I needed to break them in at all. They are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them around town instead of my sneakers.

These are fantastic boots! They are light, airy, and give good traction. And excellent support!

After my husband bought a pair of Merrells and raved about them, I decided to do the same and have never regretted it. First time out we walked about 3 miles and my feet and legs felt great. Have put many more miles on them since and would recommend them to anyone.
Wears this shoe: right now while walking inside. soon they'll be hiking in the mountains.

I love this extremely lightweight, ankle protecting low/mid boot. Alternating between thin socks and/or two pairs of socks, I wear it daily and it's super comfortable . The high quality is what I expect from Merrell. The snappy gross grain design and pull-on strap are bonuses.

This is an incredibly lightweight comfortable shoe. My ONLY complaint is the smell. As soon as I opened the box, a chemical/rubbery smell was strongly apparant. I aired the shoe out for about a week, and then wore them for 4 days. The smell is still there, though not as strong. Co-workers continue to comment to me about the strange smell in my office. I really like the shoes, but that smell...
