I like that the shoe is roomy and does not rub my foot at any point. However, I am a 2X width, not a 3X. The shoe's width jumps from D to 3X. I feel that they are a bit wide. With the extra width and the double thickness of the velcro strap, they look especially wide on my foot. I also don't like velcro straps. I would prefer a single layer of strap and a buckle. Velcro wears out faster than the shoe. My feet are not only wide, but I also have a high instep. That makes it hard for me to find shoes that I can wear. Out of the 4 different shoes that I tried, these were the ones I chose for the comfort I need. I still need another insole to cushion my feet since I stand on marble floors for over 6 hours when I wear the shoes.

Cute shoe

I bought this shoe after reading all the comments and like it pretty much. It is a cute shoe with the cutout on the top adding that extra pizzazz I like. I did not like the fact that they rubbed a blister on my foot at the strap on the inside of my left foot. I wore them for the first time to an event and had to take them off about half way through because of the blister and go barefoot. I have worn them a few times since and they are still making a blister but I am hoping they will be better when they are broken in. I do think they are a cute shoe and not real boxy looking as som said. I think they are a cute Mary Jane. I would recommend them and most probably buy them again but break them in first. I do think they are cute!

It is amazing that this shoe can feel so supportive yet be so lightweight!It is very attractive, yet fits really well and I can use my custom orthotic inserts with it.It is such a great thing to find a website with so many attractive shoes for the hard to fit.I have a BIG foot - 11W.I liked this shoe so well that I purchased it in black for all year and beige for Spring/Summer.It is very casual yet could work for a dressy occasion for those who cannot wear higher heels and really dressy shoes.A real winner and it comes in so many colors you could match almost anything!

I bought this shoe to accommodate orthotics.The shoe does this well, is comfortable and somewhat attractive for the type of shoe it is.I have not worn them yet because I will wear when I dress up on special occasions.

A Good Choice

I need to wear orthotics, and this shoe required that I cut down the width on the orthotics a little, but with them the shoe feels fine. I liked the extra inserts that came with the shoes. I may be able to use a pair of those instead of orthotics after I have had surgery on my foot.
Wears this shoe: I bought them for dress but could wear them for casual as well.
Rubs and got a blister

My right foot on the side has a painful blister because the right shoe rubs against my bone of the foot. I have to return the shoes.

Good for orthotic

I wear only Mary Jane style shoes because it's easier to get my orthotics in. This shoe is nice and deep and the cutout adds a little style. The shoe is very light weight.

Maufo Brace

I just got a maufo brace and I thought I would never have the option of wearing a nice looking shoe. I was so surprised that I can wear this shoe with my brace inserted.

Too Low Cut

I wore this shoe as soon as I put it on out of the box. It did not rub my toes or the bunion area. I have a wide foot, but not a thick foot so I appreciated the long velcro closing/strap. I also like the round toe area, plenty of room for the toes to spread.

Cute shoe and very comfortable. The D width in this shoe fits my feet like a 2E in other brands. The shoe is lightweight and comes with multiple insole options. I wear fairly thick prescription orthotics, but can use the included thin foam inserts for extra cushioning under my orthotics and still have ample foot and toe room. What a pleasant surprise for a hard to fit foot! The wide sole adds stability. I wish Mt. Emery made shoes suitable for wearing with dressier attire. I would definitely like to try more in this brand. The strap could do with less velcro. It tends to snag my knee-highs.

I bought this shoe in brown. It was a bit lighter in color than I expected, however very nice leather. I can fit my full orthotic in it nicely. This is my second pair of Mt. Emey shoes and they hold up to a lot of wear. I ordered a 5 E width and it fits perfect.

Really the only thing I don't like is how flat the soles are. I like more height (platform) in my shoes. Other than that they're nice. I'm 25 with edema problems, and not being able to wear cute in-style shoes stinks! Not only old diabetics need really wide shoes!
