Thanks to Shoebuy for offering hard to find sizes. My son needed the WW (which is wider than XW), and nearly impossible to find. The leather gets scuff marks easily, but the shoe itself is holding up well. My two complaints are: 1)One of the straps has lost a little of its color from putting the shoe on and off, and we haven't had the shoes that long and, 2)We have had to be extra careful putting the shoes on because his pinkie toe sometimes gets stuck on the side of the shoe which never happened with his old sandals. Otherwise, I like the shoes, and our son seems to as well. Reviewer: Happym3 from Los Angeles Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked These shoes are very good looking for little boys and offer great support for little toes and heels. They could be wider, though. We ordered the widest size (XW) for our son but his toes still get a little red after wearing them for a while (He's been wearing them with socks on.) It feels a little tight when his feet are going in the sandals. The upper leather could be softer too. Wears this shoe: Spring, summer and early fall Reviewer: Brandi from Illinois Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I recently purchased this shoe for my one year old son. He wears them all of the time because they are the only shoe that do not seem to bother him. He recently started walking alot and he is able to walk good in them and they stay on well. Plan to purchase the next size up! Wears this shoe: All of the time Reviewer: Mother of 4 from SF Bay Area Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width My 2.5 year old son loves this shoe. I was a little unsure because I usually like the look of open-toed shoes and thought this one might be too bulky or "formal", but it is actually a very cute shoe. As well, it can be dressed up or wore with shorts everyday. The closed-toe helps protect his toes when he trips (which is common) and I find he doesn't fuss as much compared to when he trips in his open-toed sandals. We have the Navy Blue leather and to my surprise the leather isn't fraying (like other blue leather Stride Rite shoes have done).Lastly, the shoe dries fairly quickly (I've had to clean it a few times from romps in the mud). This is a plus because he likes to wear these most every day.The velcro-closure is a little tricky in that hook for the strap is on the outer side of where the t-strap connects of the shoe. Because this is smaller area with which to work (versus a hook on the inside of the shoe with a full velcro strap) it does require some mastering of small motor skills, but my son seemed to pick it up within a few weeks and he now proudly puts the shoes on himself.I highly recommend this shoe. These offer support and comfort (IMO) for his feet. These are a very cute classic and perfect for dressing up or down. Kendall from Pleasant Garden, NC Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width This is a great shoe for toddlers and young children because of the flexibility of its sole. I have been unhappy with most brands of children's shoes and several other styles of Stride Rite because they were about as flexible as a board strapped to the foot. These shoes are nearly as comfy and flexible as the much more expensive Pedipeds and Robeez Tredz. They are also very cute shoes and are proving to be quite durable through lots of activity. Reviewer: Anonymous from Los Angeles, CA Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width My son loves these shoes. This is his third pair. We just keep buying the next size up! they are great for the new walker and little baby feet. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: Sonya from San Francisco, CA Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I've always liked Stride Rite sandals (bought one for my son last year), so I decded to give this one a try. It's cute, has a closed toe which I think is important (won't damage the toes if my son tripped and fell) and a velcro closure. I went on a Stride Rite website and printed their measuring guide, and despite the measure, first pair I bought was too narrow (I got 7W) and it rubbed my son's foot. I then got 7XW, and that seems to fit him well. The leather gets rubbed very quickly, but maybe that's just the way toddlers beat up their shoes.Pros: shoes are good quality, flexible padded soles, good styling with closed toe, comfortable. Cons: strange sizing, doesn't stand up to toddler abuse too well (loses its look), velcro strap has a loop it passes through which makes it not easy to close or adjust.
