Great sandals, they go with almost with anything. My son seems to love them, he wears them all day and they never bother him. They really look cute dressy or casual.

This is a great shoe for toddlers and young children because of the flexibility of its sole. I have been unhappy with most brands of children's shoes and several other styles of Stride Rite because they were about as flexible as a board strapped to the foot. These shoes are nearly as comfy and flexible as the much more expensive Pedipeds and Robeez Tredz. They are also very cute shoes and are proving to be quite durable through lots of activity.

Good shoe, but hard to size

I've always liked Stride Rite sandals (bought one for my son last year), so I decded to give this one a try. It's cute, has a closed toe which I think is important (won't damage the toes if my son tripped and fell) and a velcro closure. I went on a Stride Rite website and printed their measuring guide, and despite the measure, first pair I bought was too narrow (I got 7W) and it rubbed my son's foot. I then got 7XW, and that seems to fit him well. The leather gets rubbed very quickly, but maybe that's just the way toddlers beat up their shoes.Pros: shoes are good quality, flexible padded soles, good styling with closed toe, comfortable. Cons: strange sizing, doesn't stand up to toddler abuse too well (loses its look), velcro strap has a loop it passes through which makes it not easy to close or adjust.

My 13 month old son who hates shoes, will actually wear this shoe happily and can walk very well in them. He wears them to school everyday and never tries to take them off. He can even wear them without socks and not get any sore heels. Great toddler shoe for summer!

The reviews that were already written about the shoe led me to choose it for my grandson and it is a great shoe. He does not wear socks with it and from day one he has not had any problems with the sandal rubbing his foot. The leather is very soft and the shoe seems to be very comfortable, he loves them and so do I and his mother.

Last year, when my son was a year old, I bought the Stride Rite Guppy sandal for him for the summer. We loved how it fit, how the sandal held up through LOTS of running around, and we also loved the look. This year, my son has of course outgrown his sandals from last year, so we were going to buy another Guppy sandal in a larger size. As I got to looking at the sadals on the website, I saw the Reid sandal. It looks very similar to the Guppy sandal, but the sole on it seemed a little thicker, more like the sole of a tennis shoe. I thought I would give it a try, because my 2 year old son is very active, to say the least. I love this shoe because its look is dressy enough that it can be worn with nice outfits to church, weddings, etc., yet it also looks great with casual outfits, and my son can run and play in them much like he could in tennis shoes. I would definitely recommend this sandal to other parents!

My son has a super wide foot and it is very hard to find a closed toe shoe for a toddler who wears a 2x wide. These are perfect. I just wish they cam in other colors and materials. They are great for a clumsy 18 month old!
