This time however, they feel a bit wide and the show laces always come loose making the show almost fall off my feet! The only issue I have is the heel size - too wide for medium width. As the leather breaks in, it is getting better - no heel grip needed. I still own this pair of shoes. I recently purchased another pair and was surprised that they are looser and pull-up in the back when walking. I first thought they just need to be "worked in," but now realize that this pair is just a slightly larger size. Unfortunately, I cannot return them since I already worn them outside. So, I decided to buy another pair, in a different color. I bought what I thought would be the same size, 14 3E. They are so much bigger that I want to return them. The quality is every bit as good as the first pair, but I'm very disappointed with the fit. The first purchase (approx 10 months ago)had an issue where the heel was separating from the shoe within 2 weeks of purchase. Upon return of this defective pair, this issue was remedied with a replacement pair with which I was very happy with look, comfort & performance.I recently purchased an identical pair (Melton Size 11 wide)which is not true to width. My foot feels like it is quite compressed & restricted. I plan to return this pair for a replacement that I "hope" will be much truer to a wide. For what it's worth, the recent purchase is made in India while my first pair of Melton's were made in China, could it be that the production standards are not consistent among the two manufacturing locations? In summary,I am a satisfied long time customer of shoebuy.com, notwithstanding the previously mentioned issues on my recent transactions, (having purchased approx 7-10 pairs of dress shoes over the last 5-7 ? years). However, I am not completely satisfied with my two most recent purchases (shoes that were in the $140 cost range after discount) Wears this shoe: Daily to work - office setting Reviewer: Anonymous from connecticut Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I liked the look. If you can figure out the right size, it is comfortable. Reviewer: Mary from Illinois Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Nice fit, very well made. The heels slip. I ordered B width, but these are too narrow. These shoes break hard across my toes. They are painful to wear. I feel like I wasted a considerable amount of money. Wears this shoe: These shoes are unwearable. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: Anonymous from Chicago Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked Have worn the shoes about 5 times so far and the 'breaking in' period continues. The shoes look great, although I'm not a fan of the stitched tongue (one side of the tongue is stitched to the top part of the shoe) which makes it a bit more difficult to put the shoes on (recommend shoe horn). I'm confident that once the shoes are broken in they will be more comfortable, but don't know for sure right now.
