I really liked these shoes. I took them on a few hikes in Colorado and only had a few complaints. First, there was some rubbing on the back of my heels, but that almost always happens with me and new shoes. The other thing was that I had to tie the laces tight so my ankles wouldn't jostle around, which caused some bruising on my foot - that's never happened to me, but it was nothing I couldn't get over. Overall, these shoes suited me pretty well and I think they were well worth the purchase.

This shoe fits about a half size too small. It is exceptionally hot and a tad on the heavy side. However, it is very sturdy, provides excellent traction, solid footing, resists water and has a nice fit provided I order a half size bigger (which seems common for me with respect to this brand). The edges at the ankle rub a little, but otherwise a good shoe that I expect to last me a long time. My complaints about it aren't enough to justify returning it.

I bought the shoes mostly to wear when it snows since they're waterproof. They look great, feel wonderful, and have lasted really well. I will not hesitate to buy another pair since they're some of the best fitting shoes I've ever owned.

A very comfortable shoe. Wears well. But the color was darker than I had expected. I purchased the shoe because Merell makes a good shoe that holds up well in weather, but still looks good for everyday activities.

I LOVE these shoes! I frequently walk through the fields and orchards around our home - these shoes give excellent support and keep me dry when the grass is damp. Much better than wearing rubber shoes that don't breath. They are so perfect for me that I ordered a second pair - I'd hate to find that they are discontinued when the first pair wears out so I wanted a backup.

As usual Merrells are great shoes for me. However, the color on my monitor for the canteen shoe was considerably lighter that what I received. I haven't had this issue with other shoes so the picture may be a little misleading. The color is more like a dark warm brown than a beige.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes and order a new pair every 500 miles - these are my fifth pair. My Golden Retriever and I walk five miles every morning and then I do another six miles at an accelerated pace on the treadmill so these shoes are put to the test daily. They are PURRRRFECT for me.
