I walk every morning on a country terrain, like hiking. The shoe is very comfortable and fits very well. When you walk over dirt, gravel, because the opening of the boot in your ankle does not close it perfectly some dirt and small gravel enter into your shoe. So if you could make the boot to fit more tied on your ankle would be better.

This boot felt comfortable right away without a break in period, however there was some discomfort around the ankle when they got out on the trail, due to the fact that the boot is neither low enough or tall enough. But overall they are a nice boot.

This is the best boot I have bought in a long time. I actually had bought this boot before at another retailer and loved it so much I wanted to get another pair before the style was "retired". Shoebuy was a great resource and had the best price by far than any other online store.

The shoe is comfy except around the right ankle near the point where the tongue and outside come together. At that point the shoe seemed to cause a sore area. I'm hoping that it will break in with time. They are easy on and off and lace quickly and they seem to be pretty warm.

We are getting ready to start a trip of a lifetime, the 45th anniversary celebration of the ford mustang...we will travel to Louisiana from here in West Virginia in our roush mustangs to join the mustangs across America caravan (over 600 mustangs) and head to birmingham, alabama with them. That's where the 45th will take place at Barber Motorsports Park for 5 days. There will be over 6,000 mustangs registered there. We will be doing a lot of walking and I needed something really comfortable for my mentally challenged son to wear. I have a pair of the Merrell boots and just love them so ordered a pair for Jimmy. He loves them.....I would recommend the boots to anyone.

I have purchased many Merrell boots in the same size and never needed any break in period, however, this purchase the one of the boots seemed like a mispick, and defective. I Still love the boot and sometimes things happen like this.

The water-proof rating of this shoe is not above of that of 3 centimeters at most. Unfortunately when water went over the the shoe, it leaked, but dried up rather quickly, which is a plus. Although its a good quality product, I find its waterproofing is over-rated and somewhat over-exaggerated.

I have a pair of the stretch Chameleons and decided that I would try a pair of the ankle boots. These are the most comfortable boots and shoes that I have ever put on my feet. I will continue to buy them. the price is right and they wear great.
