These shoes are very comfortable for walking. Very light but have good support. I've had other shoes of this type but none were as enjoyable to wear as these. I suggest ordering a half a size down because of the type of shoe this is.

I like the appearance of the Timberland Youngstown boat shoe. It has quality leather in the uppers, insole, and it has a well constructed outsole which should wear very well. The shoe seems wider than the medium width I ordered and tends to slip on my foot at the heel just a bit when I walk. I have decided to keep them anyway and hope this doesn't become a major inconvenience and comfort issue.
Wears this shoe: I wear it to walk in and around the house and working in the yard.

I purchased these Timberland shoes because my previous pair finally wore out after two years of continuous wear. Actually, it was the leather uppers that had become discolored; The soles scarcely showed any trace of wear. For style, comfort and practicality you can't beat Timberlands. They are a bit more expensive than the competition but well worth the investment.

This is absolutely the best deck shoe you can buy. I've owned many different brands, including Sperry Topsiders. The Timberlands are better constructed, more comfortable and last much longer. Unfortunately, Timberland has stopped making the "Youngstown" which is disappointing. Grab these while you can.
