I was thrilled, the first time wearing them I went on a 6 mile hike and they felt great. Some of my friends say they wouldn't order shoes online, but I would definately do it again after this experience.

I like the shoe. I probably need to order a half size up, but it is not available. When wearing a full size larger because of this, the shoe is too big. If you need more stability, I suggest ordering a shoe with more structure. Overall, it is very comfortable.

The Moab Ventilator is a cool shoe - temperature wise. Living in the high desert Rocky Mountains of Northern New Mexico, I need a shoe that breaths while walking my dogs along the forest roads. These shoes (my 2nd pair) have fit very comfortably from the start with plenty of cushioning and support. Nothing to dislike. Much to like.

Love the shoe. Plan to hike the grand canyon in sept. and wanted a shoe that would hold up to the training as well as the actual hike and I think I picked the right one. I do have a fairly wide foot and most shoes are too narrow so this one fit me perfectly.

I really liked these shoes. They are stylish and comfortable. The only bad thing is they are not waterproof, but I am realizing that waterproof hiking boots are more bulky and not as stylish. I took other reviewers' advice and ordered a half size larger, and they fit perfectly.

This is my second pair of the Ventilator boots. They are comfortable for walking and hiking. They are not stiff, but respond to my movements while providing support.

This shoe supports the ankle well. It fits just right if ordered 1/2 size larger than usual, as suggested in other reviews. They are open concept, breathes well, but not waterproof for that benefit. However, no complaints. I will buy this brand again. (Free, quick shipping, special discounts and free ship back are a plus at this site.)Thanks.

Super Comfy, But...

I replaced a pair of boots like this with this pair and had a rude discovery. This pair runs 1/2 size smaller than the previous ones like it. After looking closely I discovered these have a slightly different toe box. I wore my size 8.5 twice and bruised my toe on a downhill hike. I had to order a 9 and sell the original pair on eBay at a loss. I have never worn a size 9 in my life--64 years! So try these on and really check the toe to avoid problems. Otherwise they're very comfortable and great for a warm climate.

I've always liked Merrell's in every type shoe. The light weight makes it easy to walk miles in comfort. Has good "traction" on rocky slopes. Fits well with medium weight socks and has good ankle support. Mid height could be a little higher around the ankles to keep out grass seeds and burs, but otherwise, love them.

I LOVE this hiking shoe! I was looking for Merrells because I have bad feet and these felt great from the first time I put them on! I took other reviewers advice and got the shoe a half size larger than I usually wear and it fit perfect. Great not only for hiking but for a serious day of city walking too!

I was glad to have my size avaialable. Also, we hiked in the Smokey Mountains and the boot was very comfortable for our 8 mile round trip.
