There are only a couple of stores in our area that carry Johnston & Murphy. It was great to be able to get them online. They arrived in a matter of days. Very happy.

First things first, this is a truly great looking product. The leather of the brown is a magnificant, rich hue and the overall styling is top notch. However, once I slipped the shoe on my foot, I realized that my size 10's looked more like 15's. This shoe has a lengthy toe area and I would definitely recommend ordering a 1/2 size down. With that being said, I tried this and noticed that the samaller shoe felt extremely cramped in the toe with regards to the width. In addition, the comfort system requires an almost stacked heel - throw in the fact that your foot doesn't really sit down in the shoe - and you've got an extra 1.5 - 2 inches easy. All in all, the Dawson is very appealing to the eye, but it fell short of the mark in the comfort department.

I spent approximately $200 for this shoe and was very disappointed with the quality. I waxed them with Kiwi and wore them to A meeting. Water spilled on the toes and they blistered like A third degree burn! I let them dry and the blistered bumps didn't come out. Even with another coat of wax they stayed bumpy. The leather was very thin and the color didn't stay even. I liked the soles, that's why I bought them but I was very upset to pay that kind of money and have such poor quality. I would like to send them back.

I have always found the Johnson & Murphy shoe to be a very comfortable shoe in comparison to many other famous brands, it is the most comfortable shoe. I have bought other brands and I am always coming back to JM. The only negative I can give is the price, but as my parents told me you get what you pay for. I am still buying JM and will probably continue until I can not afford them. I hope that day never arrives.
