This is the second pair of these boots I have purchased and if they stay this good, I won't buy any other brands. Comfortable, good support, light enough to run on trails and sturdy enough to hike tough terrain - the best all-round boots I have ever had.
Wears this shoe: Hiking tough trails, running medium grade trails at least 4x/week
Longer laces

I'm glad I took everyones advice and ordered a half size smaller, it's just right. I have narrow feet and the width is perfect. Needs to have longer laces. I'm still getting use to high tops around my ankles, but they are comfortable. Snowing today, so I will see how warm my feet stay...so far so good. I did waterproof them like suggested.

Loved the hiking boot. Very easy to break in, very comfortable, provides good ankle support. Narrow width good with a hiking sock. Would recommend.

I was told to buy the Lowa brand for a GOOD pair of boots for cold weather. Let me say, I am very pleased!! The fit is great, styling is excellent, and can you say GORE-TEX?! All I need to do now is get some leather spray to protect it before wearing in the elements. I know this boot will get lots of everyday use! Normally I take a size 8 or 8-1/2. The 8-1/2 was too big, but the 8 is just right! I can wear them with my comfy SmartWool socks and they feel wonderful! I'm going to live in these boots!!

Love the fact these boots come in narrow. Most boots are uncomfortable (too wide or too short). These boots felt great the minute I put them on. I have not worn them in the rain or snow yet.My only complaint is that I wish they were a little cuter.

I love the look and feel of this hiking boot. It doesn't need breaking in, but is a little stiff when you first wear it, which is a good thing. Very comfortable and looks good as well. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, sturdy, even attractive hiking boot.

First of all, I was a little dubious about ordering this boot.However, it was helpful to read previous reviews where someone mentioned that it might be a 1/2 size larger, otherwise I might have ordered a bigger size. The boots fit perfectly. They were lightweight and easy to get into and out of, with no complicated lacing or difficult grommits. For me, these are the perfect hiking and walking boots.

This is my third pair. Great hiking shoe for wide foot. Comfortable. Stable. Keeps my legs, ankles and feet feeling ok after 8 hours stint cleaning animal holdings at the zoo.Did not like the low top version as well.

I bought a pair of Lowa Renegade hikers several years ago and have put many, many happy memorable miles on the old boots. I LOVED my old boots, but it was time to get some new ones. This is my second pair. In my opinion, the quality and comfort of Lowa is beyond comparison. These boots give me out of the box comfort, and they get better with age. They keep my feet dry and happy, and are ideal for backpacking with moderate loads and day hiking in wet or rough terrain. I've hiked in some very wet areas in Florida, and have never had a leak with the waterproof liner. They give solid support, good traction and no sore feet at the end of the trail. I'm still keeping the old pair of Lowa's. I've had too many happy memories with them to let them go. I may have them bronzed.

I bought my first pair of LOWA boots in Switzerland to hike in the Alps. I tried on LOTS of brands but LOWA was the only one that fit me well. I felt a little like Goldilocks. They were JUST right! I purchased this pair in order to have a boot that supported my ankles (the others are still in use but are low like sneakers). What can I say - I love this pair too.

I first bought this Lowa boot in 2002 for a trekking trip through Ireland. It's the best fit I've ever had in a hiking boot and it held up beautifully through a very wet summer. It's still in good shape after almost 7 years of tough wear on the trail and street. I have small, narrow feet, and this Lowa conforms to my foot, especially in the heel. There's no rubbing, and great support and stability while walking. The only problem is, once dirty, it's hard to clean the Nubuck and keep it water repellent.

Love these boots. I need boots for work and it is very hard to find sturdy comfy boots. My feet are hard to fit. They are wide and my right foot is bigger. I almost always need an 8 1/2 and they sometimes are too tight. I ordered an 8 because many reviews said they felt larger than sized. They were right on. I got an 8 and they fit perfect and they are wide enough. First day I wore them all day to work and they never hurt my feet one bit, which most boots do.

I bought this hiking boot because my husband wears this shoe and really likes it. While the boot is comfortable (not too stiff) right out of the box, I found that I needed to wear them a few times before I could tie them tight enough to secure my foot. After about six wearings, I now feel like the boot has molded to my foot and the comfort level has increased. In the end, I think this purchase will turn out to be a good decision.
