Great boot, not quite as wide around the calves....

I have big calves--18 inches in circumferance pretty much and I spent a long time looking for waterproof boots that would fit my muscular calves and these were advertised as being a little over 18 inches when really they fit pretty snugly around my calf...meaning I can't wear them with my jeans tucked into them, I'll have to roll my pants. BUT this is one of the few rain boots out that that will fit big calved people, and for that I say thanks, Sperry. And the microfleece lining is a great added touch you don't get in all rain boots.

I love my new boots. I have very large, muscular calves and can never find boots that fit them, but these do! I originally ordered a size larger than I usually wear but they were way too big. Fortunately exchanging them was extremely easy, and the ones I have now that are my size fit great. My only minor issue is that they are really warm inside (great for a snowy day, but feet get sweaty on a rainy day). I also wish this wide-calf version came in different colors besides just black, but the black is shiny and pretty, so it's ok.
Wears this shoe: Rainy days with lots of puddles, muddy days, snowy days.

I was looking for a rubber boot with an ample calf area and I found it in this boot. I wanted plain rubber boots and I liked the simplicity and lack of crazy pattern. I thought I would only need them occasionally but I've found them to be indispensable when the nasty weather hits!

I've only had them for a couple of weeks, and only worn them three or four times, but they've been terrific so far. They look great; they have sort of an English riding boot vibe. They're extremely comfortable and do a great job at keeping the rain and snow out. My jeans fit inside with room to spare. So far, a really great purchase.
