I had owned a pair previously, and found them so very comfortable that I jumped at a chance to purchase another pair. I have never owned a pair of health sandals I liked better than these. They're wonderful!

Still getting used to

For the most part the shoes are comfortable. Nice and light weight. My arches start to hurt after wearing for a couple of hours. If they were slightly wider that would help. Not sure they will be the sandals to take on 2 week vacation to South Africa later this year. Will continue to wear and hope my arches get used to.

I first bought the Lucy sandal from Rieker three years ago. Since then, I have probably bought 20 pairs for myself and for my daughters who both say the same - "the most comfortable sandal I've ever had." My fervent hope is that Rieker does not discontinue the style or alter it in any way. I always have at least two new pairs brand new in boxes just in case... the new whiskey color is great! Thanks Rieker!!

I should wear orthodics but find I do not need them in this sandal. It's nice not to be condemned to wearing closed in shoes. The original sandals were a size 41 but I knew to order a 42 this time.

I haven't worn toeless shoes for many years and was greatly surprise how much I like this shoe. It looks great and has good foot support. Even my grandson said "nice shoes".

I bought this shoe for traveling. Since I have this weird toe I cannot wear a shoe or sandal that crosses the big toe at the joint. This sandal avoids the problem. They can be casual or dressy and the arch support is great. In the past the only trouble I have had with Riekers is the glue between the velcro and the strap separates. So far so good with this sytle. I am thinking about buying another pair.
Wears this shoe: for hours at a time when I am traveling or shopping.

Favorite shoes

These are my favorite shoes. Due to injury my feet are hard to fit and comfort is a huge issue. I have these shoes in every color.

I was in Paris wearing athletic shoes, and my feet were killing me. I stopped in a shoe store and was introduced to the Rieker Lucy 51. The clerk promised that I would love them, and she was right. I walked all over Paris for a week, then another week in London. That was more than two years ago and I've worn them almost daily since then. I am constantly receiving compliments on them. Now I'm buying them in both colors.

This is my second pair of these sandles I ordered them in black this time. I really like the way they look and feel. They feel so good I think they were made for me I get lots of compliments on them.

I've been wearing an old pair of Rieker sandles similar to these for FIVE YEARS, walking all over many cities on vacation as well as walking 2 miles home from work half the year. They still feel good, but the nubuck is looking dingy, so I wanted a new pair. That particular style isn't made anymore, so I bought the Lucy 51. They feel very good. The sole is not as thick and cushy as my old ones, but they feel good, and they don't irritate my skin anywhere. The first time I put them on, I walked all over the city with no problems. I hope they last as long as my old Riekers have lasted.

I like the way they look on my feet and the way they feel. I never knew what Antistress felt like until I bought these. The bottom of my feet feel so rested when I have them on. I will be buying another pair soon. I am so glad I found these. I wore tennis shoes a lot before and still will, but it's nice to have something a little more dressy to wear and still have the comfort.

This was a much-anticipated and very welcome birthday gift from my husband. Two years ago, I purchased my first pair. They have been worn and worn and really need to be tossed out. When the Lord put my feet together, he did not do a very good job! There are way too many problems but this model of shoe seems to fill for me. It probably won't be my last pair (unless you stop making them!).
