This is a well-made pair of boots, that is also rugged with a classy look. I wear these boots about 9-10 months out of the year. They are extremely comfortable: I am a teacher who likes to teach while standing; I also walk about 3 miles everyday in these boots while pushing my 4 year old special needs daughter in a stroller. My feet have never gotten wet while wearing these boots (neither during rain nor snow).I am on to my second pair of boots only because the soles of the first pair are wearing down; I still have and will continue to use my first pair (purchased a little over three years ago) for snow and other work related endeavors.Once the second pair wear out, I will probably purchase a third pair.

I have worn Timberland boots for hiking before, as a matter of fact this order was to replace my old pair of Timberlands. I decided to try the Chochorua Trail boot. I ordered a half size smaller boot than I usually wear and they are perfect. These are the most comfortable hiking boots I have worn. The ankle support is just right for going over rocky terrain and not too much for walking on sidewalks and around the yard. Absolutely great!!!
Wears this shoe: Daily, when hiking and walking the dog. Also when doing yard work.

An Excellent Choice for the Hiker

This is my second pair of Chochoruas. I needed a pair of shoes to do yard work and decided that the only shoe I would use would be my old Chochoruas (which are about 3 1/2 years old). The new ones are still in the box although they should be coming out shortly for breaking in. I have used my old pair for yard work the past several months and then hiked 60 miles in them with my son who is working on his BSA Hiking Merit Badge(one 20 mile and four 10 milers in past 10 days). My son also wears the same shoe and his pair went with him earlier in the summer to Philmont Scout Ranch (New Mexico) where he did some serious backpacking and hiking. They got pretty beat up on the trail, but they are still operational. As he is 14 years old, I will wait until Spring to see if he will need a larger size before replacement.

I wear these shoes all day at work, then come home and take the dog for a three mile walk and then if I'm going out for the evening and wearing jeans I will still wear these shoes they feel great on my feet.

This boot feels really good on my feet and I am able to wear it all day. It is a good looking boot that goes good with jeans or casual wear. The price of this boot is great comparing it with other waterproof boots.

I purchased the shoes over the holidays and was very delighted to try them on and have them fit. I wear a size 14 and have a narrow foot making it difficult for me to find the correct size. I would probably do better with a 13 1/2 but it very difficult for me to find any manufacturer that makes that size especially in a boot. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks and find them to be very comfortable. They are waterproof and the only thing I overlooked is that they are not fully insulated but I still like wearing them.I have been wearing them shoveling snow or to work in my suit and tie on bad weather days. They look good for work or play. Overall I think they are great!

Likes: true size. Nice looking boot. Seems well crafted and lightweight. Can be used for everyday use and intermediate hiking too. Dislikes: these definately are NOT waterproof as it says they are.

The innersole in the left boot felt like it was bumped up in the middle a bit and I was considering returning them. In every other way they felt fine . I kept them, and when broken in, turned out to be comfortable as the "bump" lessened and became quite tolerable. I do think that there was a slight manufacturing defect.

The shoes are waterproof in the snow and quite warm. They are comfortable and quite attractive even when worn to the office.
