Bought as a gift for an avid boater and he loved them. Only problem was that they came only in whole sizes and I should have gone up a half size instead of down.

Wet Surface Wonder

Distinctive look, and substantial, so that you don't feel like you're barefoot, but excellent in terms of traction even on wet and slippery surfaces, which is why I chose the Sperry Top-sider Hydrofoil. I need a sandal which I can wear on boats and docks, in water, and at sandy beaches -- which can be rinsed off easily, and which won't capture grit and stones. This fits the bill, with ingeniously designed perforations which allow sand to rinse off and water to drain away and not collect. The materials are also nonabsorbent, and fully rinsable. I wouldn't pick this sandal just for long walks or hikes, but it certainly bridges the gap from water to land.

At this time in my life I,m going through chemo treatments and one of the drugs I'm taking makes my finger tips and feet numb so I can't really tell how they feel. But time will tell!

At first these sandals were awkward to walk in, due to the radical shape. However, I got used to them, and on the boat deck and waverunner they are great! They have a nonslip positive grip. They also dry out quickly due to terrific drainage design.
