I bought the shoes for my husband, he had been wearing the Vasquez Velocity GTX XCR, he decided to try something different. That was a $90.00 mistake, he hates the shoes, they are very uncomfortable, he is on his feet all day and all he did was complain that his feet hurt. Needless to say he went back to the Velocity's, his 4th pair in 5+ years, he loves the Velocity GTX XCR, now they are worth the money.

I bought this shoe because my father had a pair and my wife said I looked good in them. After finding out more info about Vasque shoes, I discovered that they're primarily made for trail running and the like. Having said that, they are a very comfortable shoe and leave no doubt about their specs when it comes to running in them. The thing about this shoe is that it's not necessarily a fashion statement-- they aren't the hippest pair of shoes I've ever owned. HOWEVER, THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE THAT IT REMOVES ANY IDEA OF HOW THEY LOOK FOR ME. So... if you're a runner, buy Vasque. If you're not, buy Vasque anyway for the comfort alone.

I bought this shoe to replace an approach shoe I was using for walking/interval training. It it great on pavement and in the dirt but more comfortable than the approach shoe.

I own 4 pairs of these. I use them for work, outside construction, trail running, and general use. They have fantastic grip on loose trails, are very stable and light but not running microlight. My only complaint, they wear fast since the sole is a soft compound.

Vasque offers a full line of hiking boots, & shoes that are geared to a variety of uses. I have tried three different styles before trying the "Kota" and am now on my third pair. I walk an 18mo old Lab at least 6 miles per day over a different terrain which includes dirt trails, sidewalks, asphalt, sand and you name it ! Nothing beats the "Kota" for support and comfort. Just the right amount of cushion at the heal. Got 1,200 miles out of the first pair. A great value, and I like Shoebuys competitive $$, sales and member discount, no sales tax, and free shipping.

I have never owned a pair of Vasque shoes, and have been more than pleasantly surprised with the Kota's. They seem very durable/rugged and are extremely comfortable. The shoe is handsome and looks good with a variety of styles, from shorts and a t-shirt to khakis with a buttoned-down collared shirt. I highly recommend these shoes.

This shoe was perfect right out of the box, went walking the dogs no problem, then climbed a few trees with my son then went on a 2 mile run with the wife. Overall outstanding!

I've only had these shoes for about three weeks and I wear them at least 5 days a week. So far I'm pleased with them. They were so comfortable from the first day, that I thought something had to be wrong...like I might have gotten a wrong size or something, but they are just what I ordered. They are comfy and offer good support over various terrain. My only complaint was that I was expecting Vasque (a Redwing Boot company)to be made in the USA or Italy, but as with almost all other similar shoes they were made in China. Is the quality still there? I guess we'll find out.
