Overall I am not happy with the shoe. The shoe is extremely heavy and there is too much vertical space in the shoe to fill resulting in my foot sliding around inside the shoe. I have added inserts, but this has only marginally helped. I wish I had not ordered the shoe.
Wears this shoe: Rarely due to its poor fit.

My normal size is 9 1/2 sometimes 10. A larger right foot will demand the 9 1/2. These Martens are a nine with a good fit to the left and snug fit to the right. A half day's perspiration expanded the right to the correct size and they fit perfectly. They're marvelous!

These are quality shoes, as Dr. Martens always is. Sturdy but comfortable. Need some break-in time, but not bad at all.

My husband used to require new shoes every few months due to the sole splitting or the uppers ripping apart from the sole or the sole leaving scuff marks on the floor. We found these shoes over year ago and he wears them every day to work. When they started wearing out we went back for another pair. If you don't constantly abuse them (like my husband does) they will last years for sure. Great shoes.

I have owned Dr. Martens in the past and I love their build quality. Not only are they very comfortable/stylish, but they are also very durable. My last pair of Docs lasted me 4 years of heavy use. The shoes weight is just right... Not too heavy and not too light. Feels a bit bigger than the rest of my shoes.

I have a couple pair of Dr. Martens I have worn for 10 years. They are a marvelous shoe. The pair that I have just received are very handsome and appear to be great shoes also. My problem is that I need a half size larger for my left foot than for my right foot. Presently I have to stretch the new one for the left or live with a bit large fit for the right. If half sizes were available it would be a help to me.

Remember to check the size conversion chart. I have wide feet and had these in the past. They seemed a little snug this time but have loosened up after some wear and are quite comfortable.

My son wanted this shoe and we like the way it looks, but the back of the shoe is so stiff that even after a couple of weeks, he has to wear bandaids on the back of his ankles due to blisters.

I had the exact same pair as this purchase and they lasted me 11 years of use, usage being multiple wears a week. My only concern with this pair is that they are made in China as opposed to England as the original Docs always were and there is a new sole. Only time will tell, but they seem to be of the same build quality. The usual break in period (a week of daily use) is still the case but once broken in there isn't any other shoe more comfortable than Docs in my experience, nor any other shoe that looks so good over time.
