My son needed a dress shoe for private schools' chapel day. This shoe is soft leather and it comes in wide and is comfortable with socks. He can wear it barefoot on weekends and it is sporty since it is a boating loafer. True to size and the boy is happy with it and the other boys have the same, which we didnt know when we bought it! So other moms like it too. Boy approved, through 8th graders.

The shoes are great! My only problem is with the shoe laces. They are so short that neither my children nor I can tie a bow with them; at least not one that holds. Sperry needs to add a couple of inches to the shoestring length. Otherwise, we love the shoes.

This shoe is a nice alternative to the big clunky shoes that usually are purchased with school uniforms. The sperry top siders are comfortable, breathe well, and are sturdy enough for the playground. One (the only one) drawback is that the shoes don't stay tied. My son said, "I have to tie the shoe a thousand times a day, after the playground, and sometimes in the middle of a game."

Since he has a wide foot I have a hard time finding something that we can both agree on. I really liked they way they looked on him. The ties had a hard time staying tied. These shoes felt pretty good on his feet he says, so he will wear them on special occasions. They are very, stylish to.

I bought this shoe for both of my boys, ages five and two and they have held up nicely. They primarily wear them to church and can wear them with or without socks depending on the weather and season. Also, they wear them with pants or shorts.
