For travel, this lightweight, very comfortable shoe can be used any time, but with new travel weight restrictions, it makes a great all-around walker. This is one of the very few clothing items I have that fits.

Lacking in Comfort

I bought this shoe to wear on a trip to Europe, hoping to take only one pair of shoes. In wearing it to "break it in," I find that it is lacking in comfort and I can't wait to kick them off after wearing them for a few hours of normal routine, much less walking/sightseeing on my feet. I am disappointed in the product. It is just too hard on the soles of my feet.

Great Shoe for Nearly Any Occasion

These are a very comfortable, good-looking lace-up leather shoe. They are a great fit with both support and cushion. These are important factors for me as I'm a teacher and on my feet all day long. This new pair replaces my originals, bought about 8 years ago, and they have the same comfortable fit immediately out of the box. The old pair finally began to show signs of high mileage and my wife insisted on shopping for new ones. I'm glad she found more Rockport Encounters.

I have several Rockport shoes, but this was my first purchase of this model. Very comfortable. I walk to work and back each day (approx. 1 mile each way). The cushion takes a little while to get used to, it floats on the sidewalk, but typical Rockport quality. It seems like each year they make some kind of improvement and have become very durable compared to other brands(surprisingly long lasting in snow and cold as well).

Excellent shoe, service. I'm in sales and visit my customers all day long. Good shoes are a must. I alternate between another pair of Rockports. Rockports are the only brand I buy anymore for work or dress. I've used shoebuy now for the last 5 or 6 purchases and have never had a problem with them. I hate going out shopping for shoes, this is the only way to buy.

I bought this shoe last fall before a trip to Europe where I would be doing a great deal of touring and walking around a giant cruise ship. I wear them to work regularly. I love them so them so much that I just bought another pair. You wont be disapointed. Buy em!!

I've had great success for years with Rockport, so I decided to try one I haven't worn before. Once again, I'm extremely please with my purchase. This is a durable, wide, comfortable shoe that I assume will last a good long time.

I'm VERY pleased to find a source for men's shoes that offer a narrow width. Most retail outlets are too lazy to carry other than medium widths and up. Regarding the shoe, it fit perfectly out of the box. This is my 4th or 5th pair of similar Rockports, so I have high expectations regarding the shoe.
