These are very nice booties! Very good quality and nicely made. The only thing is that they look (I'm talking about the brown distressed ones) really much darker. On the picture they have a way lighter color. The real color is more like tan!

Tried to match my old favorite Laredo boots March 21, 2009

For the most part, I think these boots are close to my old favorite Laredo boots (same manufacturer number), but I first ordered them in 8 1/2 Medium and found them uncomfortable (don't know if that was because they were Made in China and my old boots were made in USA); so exchanged them for 8 1/2 Wide and those were better (and ironically these Wide boots were made in USA?!). Have been searching for a replacement for my old favorites for quite some time and am happy to have them.
Wears this shoe: I wear this boots for dancing; they slide great on the dance floor.

I was/am looking for a nice boot to wear with my long skirts, which I wear alot. The Laredo Roper looked like it was the one! I liked the styling and it seemed well constructed from the picture. However, the picture did not indicate the box/toe part of the boot was pointed/narrow. A pointed toe/narrow box shoe/boot is not comfortable for me. It's also not good for your foot. I still like the boot, just can't seem to get a comfortable fit. I need a good fitting boot because my lifestyle includes alot of walking.
Wears this shoe: I would have worn this to work, at leisure, and for casual dress.

I was surprised at how well this shoe fit considering I was unable to try on before buying. I was very leary of buying shoes online, but had no probelms. They arrived quickly and actually fit!

Love this pair of boots. They do, however, hurt a little after about 13 hours of wear. But overall, great. This is my 4th pair of Ropers in the last 12 years. Will probably buy from Shoebuy again when I feel the urge for a different color or this pair wears out. The order process was very easy and the pricing was great. Thanks

I loved this boot. Why I bought it was because the last pair of boots I had was in the '80's. I love Western wear. My only regret was I didn't wait for the black cherry distressed finish.

Unlike my Frye boots, this was really easy to get into, soft and comfortable even the first time I wore it. No breaking-in period required!Darker color than I expected, but nice!
Wears this shoe: with jeans or with skirts--they are casual and flat.
