Great support, accommodates orthotics easily, easy to stand & walk in for long periods. Very comfortable on the concrete floor I teach on.My only (minor) gripe is that the leather has shown scuffing a little easily. Not sure the leather is dyed through as thoroughly as I have had on other brands. This is a minor concern for an otherwise fine shoe.
Wears this shoe: To work, on concrete all day as a teacher.

Shoes are very comfortable. They look great with jeans. They have good arch support for someone who is flat footed. They do scuff up pretty easily which would be the only negative.

Dunham sizing is not consistent

My normal shoe size is 8 1/2 D. I have the Dunham Battery Park in 8 1/2D and it fits perfectly. I have the Dunham 8000 and get a perfect fit in a 9D. Since the 8001 is the same last as the 8000, I ordered a 9D and it is a little loose - doesn't fit the same as the 8000.

I have a very wide foot (5-6E) and a extra high instep. Finding shoes that fit me without hurting is extremely difficult. These shoes were confortable at once and will only get better as I wear them. I also bought some dress shoes and they fit well right out of the box. I am so glad I have found shoes that fit.

I park my car about 3 1/2 blocks from my office, so I wanted a shoe I could slog through snow, slush and puddles with. I also wanted one that was low-cut, not up to or above the ankles. These shoes fit right from the moment I first put them on, and have proven to be able to withstand the elements. They look good too, and pretty much go with everything I wear, from jeans to more "dressy-casual." I'm hard to fit, too, with a size 15 foot, and it's nice to be able to shop for what I like rather than just whatever fits.

Just got them a few days ago. Took a couple of days to really break in, but they are very comfortable.Easy to wear all day long, casual enough to wear with jeans and dressy enough to wear with slack. A superb all around shoe. I live in Washington state, lots of rain. These are waterproof too.

This is an excellent shoe, it is great looking, feels good right out of the box and is waterproof! As a 57 year old, permanently partially disabled, yet still working mailman and drummer who has been prescribed motion control shoes and orthotics, to find a casual,not athletic shoe that fulfills my medical requirements is remarkable. It feels so good,and looks great(in four colors)is indeed remarkable. This shoe is all that.
