This is my favorite shoe. I have worn it for years.It has excellent support for an arch and is so well made it can be completely soaked with soapy water to be cleaned. I have had many complemnets on the attractive style of the shoe. I was very happy to find it in your site.
Wears this shoe: While shopping, visiting sites, traveling and to often dinner in restaurants.

I like the shoes very much. They are very comfortable for all my daily walking, just a bit wider than I would like. The straps are a bit tight when I pull them in a notch. So, I wear them somewhat loose.

I have ridiculous feet and can rarely find a shoe that works for me in terms of fit and comfort. I got another style of Mephisto, much like Elka, and have worn them for years (resoled them several times). The Elka's were comfortable on the first wear and have only gotten better over the few weeks I've had them. I'd prefer a half size larger (they only come in full-sizes) but, even so, I'm delighted with the fit, look, and ease of slipping them on for almost any occasion.

Elka is a beautiful shoe. I especially like the black patent leather, the slightly higher heel height, and the adjustable straps at the toe as well as the instep area - two ways to adjust to fit best. My usual size is a 7.5 and the only way this shoe would work for me is because of the adjustable straps. This Mephisto shoe has comfort and style!

I bought this shoe because I have previously owned two pairs. They're without A doubt the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have A narrow foot, but with the adjustable straps, they fit me. I have walked all over Disney World in these shoes, and my feet are as comfortable at the end of the day as when I began. I own it in every color available..Only wish there were more to choose from!

I love this shoe! This is actually my 2nd one. I wore the first one every single day for a year, and it's just starting to wear out. Our home is built on a cement slab and we have no carpet, so our flooring has no give. My feet were literally aching at the end of the day, UNTIL I found this particular shoe! My feet no longer hurt and I'm chasing around 9 little ones all day long! Best shoe I've ever worn!

There are few shoes that I can wear without heel pain. These are the best. I think it's because of the cork footbed which conforms to the foot and also because there is a big enough heel to keep my fascia from being stretched too much. Other shoes with heels don't work and other Mephisto's without cork footbeds don't work.This is all I wear, summer or winter - cold feet are better than hurting feet! I sure wish Mephisto would come out with something a bit dressier.

I have five pairs of these sandals. They are the ultimate in comfortable walking sandals. I wear them on long vacations and I wear them all summer. They also last forever. And, they don't give me blisters. (They are slip-ons, however, and so if you aren't accustomed to walking in slip-on sandals, be careful)

I have worn this shoe in a different color for many years--loved getting new colors to wear. I suffer from planter faciitis and Mephisto shoes really help me in alleviating the pain.
