I was convinced to try on a pair of the Mephisto Sydel shoes two years ago - and I walked out of the store wearing them. I have had several ankle surgeries as a result I have a very difficult time finding shoes that are very comfortable. I have wear these shoes everywhere - even traveling where a lot of walking is required - they are wonderful!

This is the third pair of Mephisto Sydels I've purchased. They are extremely comfortable slip-on sandals and the little bit of glitter on the buckles makes them cute enough to wear with a skirt or sundress.

What can I say about this shoe? I'm in love. It feels wonderful and it is very stylish so I don't feel like I'm wearing a "comfort" shoe. This is my first experience with Mephisto but I doubt it will be my last.
Wears this shoe: I think I'll wear this shoe with anything that goes with black.

The Mephisto Sydel shoe is my knock around town,walking shoe.Even with one foot slightly swollen the shoes are comfy and stay on as I walk around.It is very spongy and conforms to the foot which makes it a very good walking around, doing heavy errands shoe to wear. They are also pretty and adjustable,too.
Wears this shoe: When doing errands that require lots of walking.

these are comfortable good looking verstile the only thing wrong is the insole is made out of latex and they make your feet sweat and smell bad.

I ordered the Sydel after many shopping "trips" on the internet while trying to find a cute, but comfy, walking shoe. Believe me, I am very particular about what shoes I wear, due to surgery for a neuroma on my left foot several years ago. My only complaint, albeit very small, is that the Sydel is not offered in less glitzy leather. I am not really a patent or shiny leather fan, but I really loved the overall style. I would have given this shoe a perfect "ten" if they had been offered in mahogany or black nubuck leather. The bling buckles add just the right amout of sparkle without overdoing it. As to comfort, I am more than pleased, however, I did need a "break-in" period of about two wearings...despite what I had read in other consumer reviews. I believe that is due to the patent leather straps, which tend to be somewhat less flexible than natural leather. Fortunately, I am well acquainted with European sizing and knew to order the equivelant of a size 10 for my size 9 1/2 foot! Overall, these are great shoes and well worth the purchase.
Wears this shoe: For long shopping trips, and when I am out and about.

So cute but short on the foot....Order up in size..I wear a narrow width, AA, but these shoes would buckle down and fit. Great appearance.

These shoes are fantastic for all your walking needs! Very comfortable and cute! I'm usually a size 37 1/2- 38 but needed the size 39.

I was taking a vacation for a month and I knew I would do a lot of walking in the city. I wanted a pair of shoes that is designed for walking, and is also fashionable enough to match my outfit. Mephisto Sydel is the one. I love it and enjoy it so much. I have several pairs of Mephistos. They are the best.

This is a beautiful, yet comfortable sandal. Dressy or casual, you won't even realize you have them on. The only drawback, you know, there always is one: it was a full size smaller than stated size....these sandals are awesome!
