After looking at tons of shoes on line I finally bought my daughter and I the New balance WX608. We bought a half size larger than we usually wear and they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable with good support. I'm very happy with these shoes!
Wears this shoe: We use them for exercising with our Leslie Sansone walking DVD's.

I have been a New Balance fan for years.I find them to have the best fit for my wide foot and be true to size.I was able to wear these the very day I got them and have absolutely no complaints.They are the only shoes I wear for my work outs!

Ok, after reading all the great reviews I decided to put my old Rykas in the closet and get these shoes. What a mistake!!!!!Whoever said that there is no break in time must be really tough or must be used to bad shoes!My little toes cramped when I tried to exercise in this shoes!!!I never had that happen to me before! It was awful. The shoe feels wide, my foot (which is regular width, trust me) is all over the place in these shoes. The heel portion is made of some fabric that makes your foot slip out (the sock is not offering any resistance). AND, it is slippery on wet pavement! It was raining when I went to the gym, so I almost fell when I got out of the car! Oh well, I wore them, so I guess, can't return them. But if they don't get better fast I will by Rykas for the rest of my life! Those are the ones that really had NO break in time. I miss them so much!I will write again in a couple of weeks just to give an update. But so far it is awful!

The Newbalance 608 is great for people with a high instep and gives good support.I am a nurse and on my feet for 8+ hours. With this shoe my feet don't hurt!

I needed a pair for aerobic workout because my running shoes just don't provide enough support for my angles. My feet are wide but these shoes were very comfortable as soon as I put them on.

I had a similar pair and needed to replace them. I have a very bad back and changing to the New Balance shoe helped to lessen the pain. They last forever too. I was able to put the new pair on and go on as usual. There was no break-in time.

I am very happy with this purchase. They are exactly what I was looking for. They have great support. I ususally wear a size 7.5 but I ordered an 8 and they feel a little big but not too big.

This shoe was recommended in a magazine article as a good all around athletic shoe. I found this to be true. I wear this shoe to walk, bike, hike, and just about any casual activity. The fit is good. There was a recommendation in one review to order this shoe a 1/2 - 1 size smaller. I ordered my regular size 7N and found the shoe to be a very good fit. The heel slips a little, but I often have this problem even when I order a narrow fit. If I tie the strings really tight on the upper part of the shoe, I can get a comfortable fit.
Wears this shoe: to work out at the gym on the treadmill and bike, to hike, and as a casual shoe.

I buy New Balance since they make wide sizes. The recommended buying a half size bigger was spot on. I usually wear a 8.5W, and bought the 9W, and it fits really well. It's very comfortable and serves my purposes.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of New Balance 608's. I usually have to order the mens sizes since I have a wide foot. This time, I tried the extra wide women's size and it fits like a glove. If your foot is extra wide in the front and you have a narrow heel, this shoe fits great. This shoe would be great for fitness walking, aerobics, light hiking, and a short run. It is a very comfortable shoe that lasts a long time.
