So obviously I like this shoe or I wouldn't keep buying it. What I like best is the good support and non-slip sole. Also, it does pretty well in mild to medium rain. Sometimes the velcro on the strap wears out too soon. The worst quality is the shoe's lack of ventilation so it gets too hot in the summer and also too smelly! It is usually ok the rest of the year.

I am very pleased with my recent purchase! I was able to wear them immediately. They fit perfect, and I didn't need to break them in! They feel light, and are very comfortable. I do a lot of walking outside for exercise, so I wear them every day. I also picked this shoe because it looks attractive!

I have been suffering with plantar facitis for months and have bought several pairs of shoes recommended by my doctor. This shoe is the best I've bought. Easy to slip right into when getting out of bed. This is so important in dealing with this condition. Adjustable, if my feet swell. I really like this shoe and have ordered another pair in black. No complaints at all about this shoe and it's helping my condition so i am very happy about that.

This is a very stylish, comfortable and versatile shoe. I love the velcro strap and the arch support is great. It can be worn for exercise or casual wear. I wear it to work also as I am on my feet all day. Great shoe.

I decided to purchase a pair of Ryka shoes after a friend remarked how lightweight they were. While I found them (only slightly) snug around the toe area, they were comfortable right from the start, great for walking, and good for climbing up steep paths. I recommend them to anyone who is searching for a good quality "sneaker" at a reasonable price.

My first impression when I put on the Mary Jane Ryka shoes was that it pressed on my left big toe and I might have to return the pair. However, I tried on the shoes again a couple of days later, with thinner socks, and walked around the house for a while. Decided to go ahead and wear them out walking. Surprise! Once I got used to the different feel, they have become new favorites. Very light to walk in, yet cushiony. I don't feel the need to insert my orthotic supports but save those for my lace-up regular athletic (cross-trainer) walking shoes. This was a good buy. My main reason for purchase was because of the velcro closing feature. I use these shoes to walk/ride the bus to my Curves circuit training and need to take them off easily to put on the "indoor" shoes I wear for the circuit training. I had original thought that these would BE my circuit training shoes, but now I want to use them for more than 30 minutes, three times a week. Recommend.p.s. I wish that Ryka would offer these in colors other than black or white, with full size ranges in stock. I only bought black because my size was available. Also, I'm please that Shoe Buy keeps Ryka shoes in stock. The fit of this brand works very well for me.

Velcro wears out

Although I really liked this sneaker, the Velcro wore out very fast, probably less than a season's worth of wearing. I would still wear them but I can't keep the shoe on!

This is my second pair of Ryka Mary Janes and I am very satisfied. I bought my first pair for my Jazzercise classes and enjoyed the support yet light weight of the shoe. After 9 months with wearing them only to exercise I bought another pair of exercise shoes and began wearing them for casual wear. I really missed them for exercise and finally found a replacement pair on ShoeBuy.

I ordered a 1/2 a size larger because I put insoles in all my shoes (bad foot) and they fit prefect, they are so comfy. I wanted a shoe that I can wear without socks and just strap and go, this shoe fits that category.

Not what I expected

I have worn my new Ryka Mary Janes to three Jazzercise classes and they feel like they have stretched out at least a 1/2 size in just three classes making them feel like old unsupportive shoes. I have to either wear thick socks or inserts. The velcro straps are too long and "hang" over the sides too much. Overall I am very unhappy with the shoes. Initially the price is what attracted me.

Before buying these shoes I checked the reviews. It was highly rated. I have severe arthritis in my feet. Comfort and support are a must for me to walk. These shoes are light weight, attractive, and comfortable. I am very happy with my Ryka Mary Jane's.
