As a water aerobics instructor, I needed a shoe that would allow me to transfer from the deck to the water while providing support throughout the various exercises. I would highly recommened this show for any avid water exerciser. They fit better and last longer than any other I have tried. I do water aerobics 4 days a week so they do take a beating. They were neoprene and you had to pull them on to wear, so when I saw that these lace up one's were avaiable I wanted to give them I try. I'm so glad I did. They're much easier getting on, very comfortable fit, although like the last ones, they run a half size smaller than stated. So, be aware of that when ordering. I've only had them for about a month now, but they feel great, fit perfectly and don't lose any of there color when running in the pool, as often as I do. I look forward to getting great use out of them, like I did the last pair. Give them a try. You'll be glad you did. They held up very well and I wore them at least 3x/week in the pool. They provide excellent support, very light weight and durable. So, I ordered the exact pair again. The blue tips on laces came off w/ second use and then the lace unraveled all the way down to the spring tightener. It was very difficult to replace the laces w/ such small lacing holes. I'm disappointed but hoping that they continue to perform like my original pair in all other aspects. I was thinking of gluing them on the shoelace ends with a water resistant glue. I do love the shoes for water aerobics, though! Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width The Ryka Aqua Shoe lace/toggle closure ensures an easy putting on/taking off. This is important to me because I have a problem foot (doesn't everyone?) The wider toe box affords plenty of room for toe wiggle -- important when jumping up/down in water aerobic classes. The wonderfully light weight constructed Ryka cushions and cradles my feet from the pounding impact they'd been taking, when I wore another brand. (which no longer stocks my size 11) These Rykas almost make me float -- like I'm walking on the water!I do remove the inner soles, hanging them up to dry (inside) til the next wearing. With my orthonics in these shoes, my foot doesn't hurt. Wears this shoe: everyday, but not for swiming. Reviewer: Becky from OK Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I like these shoes. I have bought them before. I have a benign growth on a nerve (Morton's Neuroma). I have found that these shoes, with my orthonics, are ver comfortable to me. I do not use them to swim, I use them to walk without pain. The first two were slip-ons and the third is a tie. I love them in the water because they give a lot of support. I have had both of my knees replaced so safety and support are very important to me. Compared to others this one came out #1 Wears this shoe: Water aerobics Reviewer: Janice T. Olsen from Atlanta, GA Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I bought this shoe for Water Aerobics. It's a little stiff and takes a while to get used to, but it does work well in the water. I used a soft shoe before but since I bought these I really like them. I was having problems with my feet and these protect you from the rough pool bottom. I can use these shoes anywhere...I walk from the dressing area to get into the pool and when I get out I just walk on the cement and return. They grip the bottom of the pool when you exercise and really help with getting a "power workout." I can use them in the shower area so I don't need to take them off. Over time I do notice the toggle sometimes starts to loosen and the shoe lace begins to fray. The drainage system on the shoe and through the soles is quite good. The shoes held their shape and support. Wears this shoe: Water aerobics classes 3 times per week. Viewing reviews 1 - 16 of 35 | Next >> Return to product detail page
