Bought several of these First Mates initially in a size 7, then 8, now 9. It's our only shoe! My son wears them for our many hikes, playing, and to Church. When it's cold, he wears socks. We buy several pairs so they're interchangeable since toddlers are always losing things.First Mates available in Wide which we needed as well. These are wonderfully versatile shoes that are quick to put on and really comfortable.

After several attempts to find a pair of sandals for my grandson, Jaiden I decided to try the Stride Rite sandals. They are a perfect fit. Wide widths are very hard to find. We also appreciate the quality of the shoe. While shopping with his mother she took the sandals off, to her surprise he cried and wanted them on. I think this speaks volumes about the shoes.

I love how stylish this shoe looks. However, for a wide width shoe the strap is not long enough to accomodate how wide my son's feet are. There were no problems putting the shoe on his foot. The problem came when I went to strap it. The strap was just too short.

Stride Rite quality..I bought these for my 3yo son to wear to church this summer, and he loves them so much he sometimes wears them to bed:) I was glad to find something appropriate for dress up.

Stride Rite makes good, sturdy, well constructed shoes for kids. I've bought this model for several seasons as it can withstand the rigors of boy activities.

I like this shoe b/c it can be dressy or casual. It goes great with all of my son's clothes. Having a rough boy, I like the fact that the sandal has a closed heel and toe to protect his feet, yet he still gets the comfort and coolness of a sandal. I just love this shoe, I would buy it again and again!!!
