Great shoe for daily wear at work

I love the style of this shoe and originally bought it in the burgundy, but now got another pair in black. Love the look, the simple classic lines, and the shine. Only down side is the laces never seem to last more than 3-4 months. I also was told by a Johnston & Murphy salesman at their mall store that they are not making the Minzer anymore. So if you like them, better buy some soon!

These shoes fit true to size. He's a 9 wide and they fit like a glove. He loves the style and comfort too. His other dress shoes don't last the day like these do. He's on his feet throughout the day and these are perfect. I will buy more pairs in different colors.

Very well made shoe, I broke them in before we left on our cruise .. and am very happy with them, I really like this style plus the fact of the rubber soles really help for not sliding if its wet out and wear longer

I have a pair of burgundy J&M Minzers that are a year or so old, and I bought a pair of black Minzers with the expectation they'd be as well made. The finish and upper are certainly fine, but the sole and heel are of lighter construction and not as durable - basically a one piece rubber molded bottom compared to the older two piece construction.A bit disappointed that quality & the finer touches from J&M continue to diminish.

I had just one issue, the first time I wore both the cordovan and the black pairs I got a blister. It was OK the second time, but they did require a rough break-in.

Definitely not what you would take along for a long walk. In fact anything more than a few paces was a real torment. I tried to wear them for two days (unfortunately I decided to walk a bit to try them) and had my feet ruined in the process.

I purchased a 1/2 size smaller based upon several recommendations from other users. I ended up having to return them for a full size smaller. I do love these shoes though! they look great with khakis, dress pants, and even jeans. very versatile!
