This style of shoe is great to wear with a blazer and slacks or just jeans: Very simple but look good on the foot. It is a well made shoe and I expect to get a lot of wear on them both when working or for casual use. Highly recommended for the young guys, too.

I just want to say that I could not of been more please with my recent purchase of the Johnston and Murphy Durst shoes . I purchased them to wear at my daughter's wedding this weekend and I gave them a trial run while attending church last Sunday. To my surprise I never realized I was wearing new shoes. The shoes have to be the most comfortable out of the box shoes I have ever purchased. I have passed on my feelings to my friends and I will definitely be looking at the Johnston and Murphy line again on my next shoe purchase.

Great looking American classic. Perfect with Khakis or grey wool trousers.Fit may be a 1/4 size too big, but workable. Wish they had a double leather sole, instead of the leather/rubber - but, it still looks pretty dressy.

Love this shoe. This is my second pair. The only downside is that the sole cannot be replaced at the local shoe repair. The rubber sole (glue on - not stitched) wears out before the leather. For me this is a problem as I like to have my shoes resoled several times to save money.

I like the shoes; they appear to be very good quality. I wanted shoes that had more burgundy in the color, which was how they appeared online, but when they arrived, they are more brown than burgundy.

upper structure is great, requires break in time. i got a blister on my heel in less that two hours with minimal standing, walking. rubber soles are not meant for standing. first full day of wear requiring standing with some walking and felt like had shin splints at end of day. shoe is unforgiving on concrete.

When I first wore them, they seemed a little too big. After wearing them the first day, my foot seems to have settled into them nicely. These are probably closer to a 4.5 rating, but that is not allowed, and for me to give them a 5 would mean they truly are the best shoe ever.

Black on Black Saddle Oxfords are hard to find. Glad to have found them and even more happy that they are are the perfect shoe. Classic Traditional style in tone on tone. I have tone on tone black, brown, and traditional cordovan with blk saddle. I have never put on a shoe that was this ready to go.

I am very pleased with the quality of the shoes I purchased and the price could not be matched by any local retailer's sale. There was no delivery charge, so shopping could not have been easier or wiser. The right shoe seems a bit snug for a wide size, but will hopefully resolve itself after they are broken in.

I always purchase Johnson and Murphy shoes because I spend a lot of time on my feet. The shoes always fit just right and are very comfortable. The style is just what I was looking for in a casual/semi-business style.What more could you ask for ???

I needed a shoe that looked business like, yet not too dressy. This shoe fit that description. It looks classic, the heal/sole will be long-wearing, and was a good value. The size felt a little large, though saying it was a half size would be a stretch. I've found that as I wear them, the leather insoles are beginning to form to my foot, so the size difference is not nearly as noticeable as before.
