Great work shoe. Love the firm but comfortable support. Width is true. I'm on my feet a steady 5 hours, lunch break 45 minutes, then another 5 hours. Beats all my past New Balances' hands down.

I loved these shoes from the moment I slipped them on. I purchased the shoes for an upcoming trip in which I will be doing a lot of walking. I tried them on and walked around the house in them and they have been on my feet ever since. This has been a worthwhile investment.

Not for smallish feet

Unfortunately, this shoe feels more like I threw away the shoes and I am wearing the box. I generally get shoes a half size bigger so I can wear heavy socks, even two thin socks so I can get the fit just right. With these shoes, even after inserting insoles, my orthodic and heavy socks, the shoe seems big.The boxy nature is perhaps what makes it a popular shoe - no odd stitches, nothing to cause blisters. It is a cargo hold, waiting to be filled.I struggle to find just the right shoes. These will work fine for me and they are great for standing around for long periods of time. I am still hunting for the ultimate walking shoe.

I was very disappointed because I had several people tell me how wonderful these shoes are and I would be so pleased with my order. I have very narrow feet, long toes and hard time finding a comfy walking light shoe that really fits. I was so hoping the shoes would be my answer. The day they arrived I put them on and went on with my daily activities. I was hoping to find heavenly comfort but was disappointed as my legs ached at the end of day because the shoes are not a tight fit even with a cotten socks. My cousin in N.J loves them and told me I would be so happy I ordered them. I cannot go to a smaller size because like I said I have long skinny toes.

I bought these Rockport Marta shoe for my favorite aunt. She and my mother have always loved these shoes. They have a pair in every color now. She had told me that she needed a pair in black but didn't know where to find them. She doesn't shop on the internet!! I didn't tell her that I would take care of that for her birthday, so it came as a Big Surprise for her. She was thrilled with her present. They fit perfectly and she wore them as soon as she got them out of the box. I took her out to eat at her favorite restaurant that same day and she wore them proudly there and everywhere we went to celebrate. I like these shoes bcause they are basic shoes to wear to work and they are comfortable when walking as much as I do in the school building. The materials they are made of do not cause me any irritation. Previously I have worn shoes that have irritating materials inside. These shoes have caused much problem. These Rockports are airy and comforatble.

On my feet all day, and I need a very supportive type of shoe where I am doing my job and not thinking about my feet. This shoe does what it is suppose to do and that is to get me through an eight hour shift so that I could still go dancing if I wanted to.

My second pair of Rockport Marta walking shoes

This is my second review. I bought two pair of the Marta style Rockport walking shoes. Without the extra padding I'm used to in Rockport walking shoes they aren't quite as comfortable for a long walk. Having plantar fasciitis I don't have much choice in shoes. Most hurt my feet. The Marta style is comfortable. Very supportive and with an orthotic insert I can wear them almost all day. They are well made and easy to clean. They are about a half size longer than the size stated but that gives my toes plenty of room.
