I wanted a black shoe and a comfortable one because I have a wide foot and do not wear high heels anymore. I am very pleased with the Softspot Marathon shoe I purchased through Shoe Buy as they fit like the say they will and are nice looking and comfortable.

The price was right, the fit was right, and they they were delivered sooner than I expected. The only negative thing I have to say about them is they are not the prettiest shoe I have ever worn, but I can sacrifice that for the comfort.

I have purchased this shoe many times over the years because they were always so comfortable. This time, however, I was greatly dissapointed. The quality of the insole is not what it use to be thus, making the shoe not as comfortable. I purchased a 7EE since that is what I have always ordered but this time the shoes were too long.

This is a heavy duty walking shoe, and the steel shank makes the shoe sturdy. It weighs a lot, however.

Best Work Shoe!

My sister came to visit me a few years ago and I gave her my pair of Softspots Marathon shoes as she was having trouble with her feet and nothing else was comfortable. She wore them all the time on & off work. They eventually started falling apart from so much wearing. At a doctor's appointment, he told her to get some good work shoes. She left his office and stopped in a work shoe type store on her way home. She realized as time went on that she didn't like them as they were not as comfy as the Softspots Marathons had been. The work shoes wore out eventually. She dug through her closet and found her stashed Softspots Marathons and she wore them even though they had become separated a bit from the sole! She told me this story and I found Shoebuy had them and ordered her a new pair. She is one happy camper!

I find I wear this shoe more often than I thought I would. It is Podiatry recommended so I thought UGLY but once you find the comfort in them you will find it is the the shoe you want to wear.

I purchased the Softspots because they were available in super slim and I have a very difficult time finding shoes that fit and are quality. I have tried many brands over the years and none had the precise fit that these do. The support and workmanship are excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

This is a shoe that truly fits properly. I wear them to Cardiac Rehab to work out on the machines and for general wear. I wish the tread on the soles offered more traction.

I love softspots although sometimes the size of the shoe itself isn't true to form. The marathon II were a perfect fit. I wish they would look a little more modern, or maybe have a younger look to them. I walk all over new york city in these shoes and I find they are the most comfortable and my feet or legs don't get tired.

I have worn this type of shoe for many years. You don't need to change a good thing. This shoe for me is very comfortable. I am on my feet for a good 10 hours a day on concrete floor and keep coming back to my favorite shoe to do the job.

This is absolutely the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The support is great. My orthodics fit in very well. My feet do not get tired. I don't take my shoes off as soon as I get home when I wear them. They aren't especially pretty, but they feel so good I just don't care. Completely recommend them to anyone with foot troubles.
