Not Very Good At All

I bought this boot about a year ago since shoes don't last me very long at all. Initially I was pleased with them but in the course of a year I have gotten a cracked sole and the bottom of the boot is peeling apart. I walk everywhere and wore this boot every day. Another thing that annoyed me was the top two hooks. They ripped and tore at the laces to the point that half of my right boot's lace is completely gone. I would not recommend this boot for anything other than a temporary one if you're in one of those unfortunate situations (as I was) of needing a boot immediately.

I have owned Wolverine boots for the past 10 years or more.This is my first purchase of Fusion boots.Black boots are a bit hard to find and I decided to try a pair of Fusion boots. Size 9M fits perfectly. Extremely comfortable.Steel toe and electrical protection is a must for me.These Fusion boots do it all!There is nothing left to be desired in the construction of these fine boots. Top quality! After wearing them inside the house for a day or so to make sure that they are comfortable, they were ready to wear outside. I sat down at the computer and ordered a second pair of the same boots from Shoebuy.com which now sit in the closet waiting to be worn when the first pair wear out.

Hooks for laces

My last pair of Wolverine's were similar and had lace hooks at the top two lace-points. Within six months one had broken. On this pair one bent in the first month. I work in these boots and they must take abuse.I would prefer smoother grommets that will not eventually abrade the laces or break off as will these hooks. I eventually had to drill out the hooks and lace the boots through the ungrommetted holes. This is the one defect in design I found in this product.I normally have worn a 12 Normal, but in this boot I am wearing an 11 EEE. I think I would have been a bit more comfortable in an 11.5 EEE.

Hello, I have had great success with the Wolverine boots in the past years. The boots have lasted through all types of punishment, we have steel grating floors at the plant that tend to wear out a cheaper boots sole, and we have condition of mud, oil and grease. The last pair of boots I purchased lasted 2 years before the sole started to crack, I still have them but only wear them at home mowing the yard. When it comes time to replace the new boots I just got I will probably buy another pair of Wolverine's!

I love the comfort and look of this work boot. Unfortunately it has not been made in black for the last 2-3 years, but the chestnut brown is nice. Fit is perfect (on this style) The sole is really nice on your feet. They are a great protective boot with good breathability for work in dry conditions. Not waterproof.
