I use these for high intensity step and floor aerobics pretty much daily. The first thing I noticed was how light they felt. They really make my feet feel like moving for some of the more challenging and advanced aerobic moves. The one criticism I have is that the base of the shoe seems slightly narrow, not in the way it fits my actual foot, but in terms of stability. The more I wear them, however, the more I get used to them and don't think this will be a huge issue.I ordered a 12 as I am usually an 11 and don't have the option for an 11 1/2.The half size up would have been perfect.I am pretty sure the 11 would have cramped my toes.

This great for weight lifting, step, kick boxing; They are light weight. You can feel the gel cushioning on heels; I would get this shoe again. Most reviews said it is 1/2 size smaller, so I ordered 8 1/2 which was too large; my normal size is 8, and it fit perfectly when I exchanged it

good training shoe

I bought this shoe for weight training; running shoes have too much padding for lifting and you don't want to rock on those soft heels when deadlifting. There's not enough support in a running shoe. The higher top on these gives good ankle support and it has just enough enough arch to feel comfortable standing and lifting w/out feeling like your foot is flattening. Nice solid flat sole for stability. An excellent lifting shoe.

This shoe is great - gives ankle support while still being stylish. I noted from other reviews and called to ask if it had laces (which I need to provide more width) and to check on the sizing issue. The person I spoke with verfied that it did have laces and that it did run a little smaller than most Ryka. So I ordered 1/2 larger than normal and it fits great!
