I bought the N Gage because I have had good luck with Rykas in the past. The toe box is wider than Nikes. The N Gage runs about 1/2 size small. I have had two other pairs of Ryka mid top aerobic shoes and like these ones the least. They do not have as much padding in the bottom of the shoe providing what felt like less impact absorption. I could tell there was a break in period for this shoe. The tongue on the shoe is big!These were a little less expensive than my previous two pairs. I bought these because they were categorized as "Instructor" shoes and I teach Step aerobics as well as am a participate. They are okay for the money but I will not purchase another pair of this particular style.
Wears this shoe: I only wear for step aerobics.

I Jazzercise 5 days a week and this shoe is great for dance aerobics. It has super support and holds up well. I feel it is a great value for the money.

I am an aerobics instructor and need a shoe with lots of support. High top shoes are hard to find these days and these shoes are great. I have the white and the black and LOVE them both!

I have bought this shoe four (yes, 4) times from Shoebuy. Ryka is the only manufacturer I can find that still makes high top aerobic shoes, and I prefer them for the extra ankle support because I work out very hard in aerobics classes.
