Product Description (Women's Ryka Assist XT 2)
The ultimate, high performance training shoe developed for the avid fitness enthusiast. Designed to fully support the foot via upper-engineered layers, cushioning and pronation control to deliver precise foot alignment with unsurpassed comfort.
The shoe displays S.G.S.™ technology. The midsole is made of a lightweight compressed EVA foam with hidden metatarsal pod made of Nitracel™ in the forefoot that provides responsive cushioning. The visual N-Gage™ technology cradles the heel for cushioned stability. The outsole has a dual piece design made of solid rubber with balanced flex groves that provide superior traction and flexibility.
Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I do DVD workouts at home (circuit, HIIT, strength, kickbox). I work out on carpet, but I'm still prone to shin splints and experience knee pain on occasion. I purchased these Rykas because my New Balance cross-trainers weren't working as well for me. I LOVE these Rykas. I reserve them for my workouts where I do some impact moves because they keep the shin splints and knee pain at bay. I've never had black workout shoes before and am very pleased with the styling. I purchased my normal workout shoe size of 8.5M which are perfect. I also have a pair of Ryka Synergy shoes, but I like these much better.

I love this shoe. I normally wear a size 8 but knew from experience that I needed to order an 8.5. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable. The toes are mesh, so it is not a shoe for cool weather.

Like the Dash, these are very comfortable and fit well. A excercise friend recommended them and I have not been disappointed. I did order them a 1/2 size larger than normally as suggested by same friend.
