I just purchased my 3rd pair of these shoes. My first pair was purchased in 2006 and I wore them all over Italy on a vacation. They are extremely comfortable and excellent for everyday wear in less than ideal environmental conditions. The Rugged shark shoes are a bit wider than most other brands. A medium width is more like a wide when compared with other shoes. The wide is VERY wide. I typically wear a 4E in my New Balance sneakers and find that a medium width is good with the Rugged Shark shoes.

I have worn Country Western boots for over 50 years because of their custom fit, full foot and ankle support. I received my Rugged Shark Atlantics from my fiancee (Vivian) for my birthday. There was a tadd of battle to get me to try them but when I did, I haven't had them off. Aaahh she is a wise woman indeed. Looks like keep my Lady and my Sharks for a long time.
Wears this shoe: on my feet,....go figure! They are my daily casual footwear.

This is the 4th pair of Rugged Shark shoes I have bought. I love them. I had inflamed feet and this shoe, in conjunction with soaking feet in ice water, has gotten them to normal and it alone has keep them there. The only shoe I will be buying.

After years of running 40 miles a week I wound up with arthritic feet& years of Topsiders were proving less than comfortable with those thin soles. The Rugged Shark boat shoes are extremely comfortable and very light weight. The construction seems quite durable and very easily dryable...I'll have to wait till spring to boat test them... but I find myself wearing them a good deal of the time running around doing errands.

My original Rugged Shark Atlantic Shoes were purchased at a boaters world store in 2006 and intended for wear on board my boat. After selling my boat in 2007, they quickly became my choice for all occasions, except for dress wear, due to their comfort and for the stability they provide in all walking activities. My recent purchase of the same model was not due to any failure of the construction of materials but rather due to the normal wear and tear created by daily usage. The original shoes have now become my yard and garden shoes.
