Rubber is a material that features elastic properties and can be natural or synthetic. It is used in a wide variety of products such as gloves, tires, and athletic shoes. I purchased these shoes in Brown to wear in wet conditions. I had an occasion to wear them in 6" snow. Standing in snow as I cleaned off my car and walking in uncleared paths. The shoes repelled the water and snow. When I inspected the shoes they showed no sign of moister either inside or out. I also find them comfortable to where.
