The comfort was unexpected when I bought this pair of boots. It turns out that the comfort and durability are my two favorite qualities in this pair of boots. I normally wear athletic shoes.I was used to wearing running/training shoes with a lot of cushion, support and comfort. I ordered these boots about 4 years ago and was immediately surprised by the comfort. I can honestly say these boots are just as comfortable as my best pair of "mall walkers." These boots have been through the typical boot life. Mud, rain, snow, oil in the shop, sitting outside the back door , sometimes weeks at a time.I have put these boots through a lot. All I ever have done is just wear them. I have not treated them, cleaned them.I just put them back on when they are dry. I still wear these boots today and now I am looking for a different color. This is the first time I have ever bought anything that exceeded my expectations and the first time I posted a review. These boots were the best money I have ever spent on any kind of footwear.
