This is a very comfortable, well made and attractive casual shoe. As with all Rockports I have owned it is an excellent walking shoe but it can be worn in an urban setting with very casual clothes (jeans and tee shirt) or casual dressy clothes -- as with a blazer and slacks (not a suit -- this is a casual shoe with heavy rubber heel and sole. The construction is solid but retains a surprising lightness which would serve very well on travel.
Wears this shoe: Casual day in town, casual evening in town, long walks, but primarily travel.

I like the shoe. It's comfortable but a little snugger than expected, so I'll wait until the warmer weather to break them in so I can wear a thinner sock.They should be OK then.
