Leather is too soft and scratches too easily May 30, 2010

I am disappointed about how delicate the leather is. It scratches really easily such that I need to polish the shoes way too often to make look like new. You can't be hard on these shoes. They're not forgiving the way more tougher leathers are.

This is a comfortable, light-weight shoe that I love to wear to work. One warning though: this shoe has an integrated synthetic sole (one piece sole and heel in black), not a classic leather sole with a separate, removable heel. This is not quite as dressy if your use requires a very formal shoe, and a re-sole may be difficult (haven't taken to a shoe repair yet.) In most offices this will not be a problem, but not if you need something that is very stodgy.

I like the comfortable sole and 'good walking' dressy shoe.I dislike that it is narrower than advertised and 'squeaky' when walking.

I have been a Rockport customer for years and have no reason to change. They are comfortable shoes and Shoebuy is the place to buy them. I stand mostly all day and I need a quality shoe.
