I have been looking all over for boots to replace my beloved 8 year old Rockports.... and here I find the exact same boot. I am SO excited! I have run in these boots. You know how it is, you finally get a parking spot as the train pulls into the station, your friends are waiting for you and you just start to run. Seriously. I ran two blocks, up and down two flights of stairs, onto the train (where I paused to breathe) and then walked in New York for a full day and had not one blister.I also bought these before going on vacation in England. I had great luck with other Rockports and I ended up wearing them almost everyday. To buy new shoes and wear them on vacation (where you walk 6 hours a day) is a huge thing. I have bad feet, too. Bunions are a big problem and these boots are my go to boots!

These boots are great. These Rockports are very comfortable, fit well, and look great with most casual pants. It is nearly impossible to find simple, well contoured black boots without pointy toes, wedged heels, or clunky over the top buckles. I have been searching for over a year to replace a pair of boots I owned that are no longer made. I have already put in a second order to have a back up pair for once I wear these out.

The reviews I had read of this shoe said that they felt a half size larger than marked so I ordered half a size smaller and found them too small. I reordered my normal size and they're just fine. I wanted something I could do alot of walking in but still look good and they totally fit the bill. Very soft and comfortable and quite ruggedly good looking. I've received a number of compliments on them. I had been very hesitant about buying them but I'm really glad I did. They are exactly what I wanted and needed.

I had a similar pair of brown Rockport boots (maybe 5 yrs old) I liked and I wanted black boots with a bit of a heel that were comfortable for standing. I don't wear heels a lot, but in my current band I'm dressing up more so wanted some heel and also a comfortable insole - these provide that. Ideally I'd like a bit more pf a pointed toe for style, but these will see their share of use for upscale casual dress.
