These are the shoes you wear when you don't know what you'll be stepping in; you wear them to the lousy, rocky beach; you wear them when working on the boat.they're washable, they look civilized, and they're cheap enough so if you lose them when the rowboat fills with water and you have to swim to shore, you can always buy another pair.

I chose the all white Rockports so that I wouldn't have to wear sneakers on board my recent Caribbean cruise and I couldn't be happier. My size (7 and a half wide) was impossible to find. The shoes are wonderfully comfortable and they looked very sharp amongst all the other boat shoes I saw. I was able to wear them with and without socks. The only problem I had was figuring out how to keep the leather shoe laces from untying. After a while I found that they needed just a little extra tightening to prevent them from loosening up.
Wears this shoe: Anytime I want the comfort of sneakers with a sharper look.
