As with other Rockport shoes I have worn, these really are very comfortable. I am not sure about the washable bit, maybe in time I'll find out about that!

This shoe is solidly built, with a firm heel cup and excellent stitching. It's not as soft as, say, some similarly priced boat shoes. So it serves best as a light walking shoe, not as a house slipper.
