The shoes feel just a little bigger than I like them but the laces work well for adjusting. The leather is very stiff but no problem there.I'm hoping to find a pair like my first rockports,a softer leather with a buff finish since the soles always wear out first. Why did I buy them? I wore the other ones out. Thanks.

These are the shoes you wear when you don't know what you'll be stepping in; you wear them to the lousy, rocky beach; you wear them when working on the boat.they're washable, they look civilized, and they're cheap enough so if you lose them when the rowboat fills with water and you have to swim to shore, you can always buy another pair.
