This hat features 100% leather and is lined with a 1" rich deep pile sheepskin fur.
The ear flaps can be worn up or down and they attach with two leather straps.
This hat is water and stain resistant and is double hand stitched.

This was a gift for a family member and he is enjoying this hat a lot, although if we were getting a colder winter it would get more wear. We had to return the first order purchased through Amazon and the replacement came quickly and even with a discounted price. A credit on the first order was also received in a very timely manner.

Its comfortable,light,soft,warm. I've worn it all day today even inside. I bought it to replace a hat that is much like it but made from cloth and down filled with a fake fur made by browning in 1981. I suffered with out it for few weeks this one arrived then I found my hat I thought I lost, however this sheep skin trooper hat does not make my head sweat. The front flap does not come down and its a little shorter than the picture all in all its a good hat and has its advantages.

I have had a shearling B3 bomber jacket for a few years. I have been looking for some time for a hat that would match the style and color of my jacket. This hat matches my jacket spot on! In fact, it is the ONLY hat I have found that matches the dark brown leather and natural shearling fur of my jacket. And the style of its leather and stitching match my B3 exactly. The shearling fur is plush and warm. And the crown is also lined with the shearling fur, rather than a quilted lining many similar hats offer. About the earflaps: unlike many hats of this style, the earflaps cover the EARS, not under the neck as well. Also, the back-of-the-neck flap is fairly short. These flaps are the right size for my B3 because it has a nice, big collar I can pull up and fasten when its coldest or windiest. If the flaps were any longer, they would interfere with the collar. Your mileage may vary, but this hat was a great find for me. Oh, the icing on the cake: my wife thinks I look really COOL in it!
