So glad I came across these boots! As soon as you try them on, you know how well they are made and that with proper care, they should last a lifetime. These are definitely more stylish than most Red Wing boots available, therefore, I wouldn't recommend wearing these in construction or anything like that. They are a little heavier than I am used to, but again, that is due to the high quality of these boots. They are a little stiff at first wear, but they should break in pretty quickly. I have been wearing mine for about 3 weeks now and they are very comfortable. Also note that they do not come with an insole. I haven't had the need for one yet as they are pretty comfortable already! The color is fading nicely as I hope to really get a broken in look fast. Overall, these are great boots. They are a little pricey, but they should last a lifetime with proper care! Don't miss out and make sure to order a full size smaller than what you normally wear.

Straight out of the box these boots fit like a fine leather glove even more so when they break in some.I find that if you tie up the laces some-what loose this helps with comfort while breaking them in. Also with the removable insole one could wear a wool sock over your cotton sock for extra warmth in cold weather. As for shoe size I ordered my standard size (for me 9) the fit was as I expected it to be. I'll have these boots for a long while. Take proper care of them, they'll last. They also can be resoled at your local shoe repair shop. Just wonderful!

I have been wearing Red Wings for years and every pair continues to offer the combination of comfort, style, and wear. These boots in Briar Oil Slick have a rich brown that gets better with age. These are incredibly comfortable even after hours of continuous wear, and they pair well with just about any outfit in my wardrobe.

Boots are great, no real complaint about overall quality. The problem I have with these boots right now is that I normally wear size 12 and apparently Red Wing sizes their boots at least half a size bigger. Red Wing won't honor their comfort guarantee directly and told me to return back to the store I got em. Shoebuy won't make an exchange for me either on the account that I've already worn the shoes (didn't realize they were too big until I wore em out for a day since leather stretches). So now I'm stuck with boots that are too big. I've gotten my feet measured at 2 Red Wing stores before I purchased these from Shoebuy and both said I was size 12. Unfortunately if you look at reviews online everywhere else (wish I did before purchase), seems unanimous that they do indeed run at least half a size bigger. Don't know who to blame with CS since Red Wing says their distributors should honor the warranty, but Shoebuy says Red Wing should take care of me. Both pushing responsibility and I'm left with shoes that are too big. I've put in Red Wing Steel Toe insoles for now and it helps, but I'd still rather wear em with just the leather built-in insoles.
